Are you fed up with Facebook? Feeling like it’s full of advertisements and bragging, and just not fun like it used to be? I know I am. And I know I’m not alone! Earlier this week I posted my thoughts that Facebook just wasn’t fun anymore, and got a big response that many of you are feeling the same way. So, not to be one to complain without finding a solution, I’ve got some ideas for how we can make Facebook fun again. Let’s bring it back to the core purpose of the platform – which is connecting communities around the world. You’re interested in so much more than just health and online business – let’s shape our Facebook experience to reflect all of that. In this episode I’m sharing concrete tips to both cull the un-fun content and curate your new inspiring Facebook feed – as well as a big idea on how we don’t need to wait for other people to create the content we want to see – we can start to create it ourselves. Join me for this episode and then let’s continue the conversation in the wellpreneur community group. This is a big topic and we’re just getting started!

This week we are talking about a subject that’s really close to my heart – decluttering! And I’m not just talking about the things that surround you, but about decluttering your business and all digital aspects of it, that even though are not taking up any physical space can really weigh on you mentally. We unintentionally let it happen because online work seams so easy and because there are so many ways to make money online. But keeping track of all your offers, eBooks, affiliates and staying on top of all your tasks just consumes more and more of you every day. When I released The Wellpreneur Book in March I felt really overwhelmed and really needed to take some time to myself. I hadn’t even realized how much pressure I’ve put on myself while preparing the book launch, so when it finally came out I was so exhausted that I’ve taken the entire month of April off. And that’s when I had a big wake up call about how I needed to slow down and simplify my business and my life again. During that time I have identified 4 different areas of my work life that I have been consciously decluttering ever since: Email, Finances, Work Space, and Weekly Recurring Tasks. You will hear my advice on how to get each of them organized, so if you feel like you need to bring some order in your business and find more balance, this episode is for you! I would love to talk more about decluttering in our Wellpreneur Community on Facebook, so after listening join us in the group if you haven’t already and we can continue our conversation there.

My very first interview on The Wellpreneur Podcast happened exactly 3.5 years ago, and my first guest was Michelle Pfennighaus from Find Your Balance Health.
I am really thrilled to have Michelle back on the podcast today to talk about how health coaching has evolved during this time, to share how her own business has changed, and give some fresh advice to new health coaches.
If you are a Health Coach who just finished your health coaching training certification, or if you’re wondering if you should become a health coach – you are going to love this episode!
BecAside from being a health coach herself, Michelle’s specialty is working with start-up health coaches. As a Nutrition Coach and a graduate of IIN with 10 years of practice, Michelle today talks about her beginnings and what she recommends to new coaches when starting their business now: we discuss how to choose the right way to put your content out there, the best ways to build relationships with your prospect clients (podcast vs. blogging, using Facebook Live, Workshops, Webinars etc.), and things you DON’T really need to start coaching. Join our conversation now!

This week I’m talking to Shawn Stevenson from The Model Health Show – the #1 Nutrition and Fitness podcast on iTunes with over 1 million downloads per month. I met Shawn in the Philippines earlier this year and hearing him speak about health and wellness at this event for entrepreneurs I felt really inspired, and I knew you would too so I just had to bring him to the show. Shawn is not only a keynote speaker and a best selling author, but he also has a background in biology and kinesiology, and what’s really amazing about him is that he’s able to really translate his scientific approach to very understandable action steps when talking about complex health topics. And this makes it super easy for his audience to relate to him and engage. Today Shawn and I talk about how he created his awesome podcast and his platform. We talk about online marketing, like how he does his promotion and social media and he shares some amazing tips that really helped him move up from a newbie podcaster to a massive player in online health and wellness industry. We also touch topics on sleep, jet leg and so much more!

This week we are talking about shame with Sara Dean of Shameless Mom Academy. Sara is a wellpreneur who owns on-site gyms and is also a host of Shameless Mom Academy podcast in which she talks about shame in motherhood. Sara and I met in the Philippines and I knew right away that I wanted to have her on the show to talk about the issue of shame not only with motherhood but also with wellness and marketing in our business. There is so much shame used in marketing starting from all the ways weight loss is marketed to women and generally by making people feel bad about themselves in order to sell them a product or service. But it doesn’t stop there. We see shame in the entrepreneurial world in all of these “standards” that should measure the quality of your work from how you should have made 6 figures overnight to having thousands of people on your email list. So if you are looking for another way to talk about your business and help people achieve their fitness goals without having them feel bad about themselves, you are going to love this episode. And also we touch on other topics such as self-care, the importance of it and how to sell self-care, what to do when you have a business dream that’s not really aligned with the work that you are doing, and more!

In the second part of Sistermixin’ interview series Tracey and Jo talk about building a community. We continue our last week’s talk where we left off – at audience engagement through webinars, emails, and Facebook Live because the engagement is something that drives the most traffic to their website and builds their revenue. They also share how they coped with a technical incident that resulted in losing ALL of the data from their website, including an ongoing e-course! But this rather painful experience actually skyrocketed their community. The amount of support they received from their community helped them realize that their audience is not just the numbers, it’s the people who got to know you through your business, who like you, trust you and want to help you! If you have missed Part 1 of this series you can catch up here, otherwise join in our continued conversation!

In this week’s episode we’re talking about selling physical products in your wellness business. Tracey and Jo from Sistermixin’ have three types of income streams in their business from digital products, physical products and a as representatives of an essential oil MLM business. They share openly about the benefits and challenges of each type of business, as well as how they manage their business when they live three hours apart! If you’ve ever considered branching out beyond coaching and digital products – this episode will be the inspiration (and the reality check!) that you need to make a decision. As a bonus we also talk about how they’re using Facebook Live and Webinars to engage with their community, and lots of other great marketing techniques. And because Tracey and Jo had so many great tips to share, we simply couldn’t fit it into one single episode, so we decided to create a two-episode mini series with Sistermixin’. Tune in for Part 1 now!
