    Hi there Beautiful,

    Being a Black woman can be exhausting. 

    Black women, we need to take care of ourselves. 

    Self care, healing and all of that can feel luxurious and great, but we must make sure we are making room to nourish our soul. 

    It's okay to not be okay, instead of trying to force yourself to be okay, let's take care of our souls. 

    This is a healing diary entry for healing and hurting Black women. 

    As someone who struggles with Depression, Anxiety and as someone who is Highly Sensitive, the world is heavy. 

    I am sharing the self care and soul care tips that have helped me as a Black woman.

    You deserve joy.

    You deserve your best you.

    It really annoys me when people say this, because it's the ultimate gaslight. 

    It is victim blaming to say that it is your fault that you're treated badly. 

    However, we do entertain what we think we deserve. 

    If folks are not respecting you, it's time to set boundaries. 

    You deserve good things.

    Folks say, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but is that true? 

    The strong Black woman trope has had me as a Black woman young girl oppressed, depressed and distressed. 

    We tend to tell folks that hard times makes us stronger, but many times what doesn't kill us now, we pay for later; trauma, mental illness, chronic illness and more.

    Let's talk about it.

    Dear Friend, 

    Black woman, trust your intuition. 

    your gut doesn't lie. learn to trust yourself again.

    People pleasing drowns out your own inner voice and causes you to question yourself, become indecisive and have low self esteem. 

    It's a gift. Listen to it. I'm learning to trust my intuition again and it's taking time. 

    Your gut doesn't lie. 

    I keep looking for permission from other people, but I know the truth all along. 

    Here are some simple ways to learn to trust your intuition and trust yourself. 

    Follow your gut. Trust yourself. You are trustworthy. 

    Don't gaslight yourself or allow others to gaslight you. 

    You know. 

    Trust and follow that knowing.

    Black women are trained by society, parents to betray ourselves for others. 

    We start to distrust our intuition and our soul.

    We start to tell ourselves little lies because we think we have to believe it. 

    But in order to heal and become Free Black Women, we have to tell hard truths.
