You are going to find out what is the difference between jobs and business ownership.
I have had a job for a long period of time and after that I started my own business. I have learned many valuable things during that period of time and I would like to share my experience with you.
I have also spent several years teaching people how to go from having a job to being a freelancer and then go to business ownership.
For most, the prospect of making your own decisions and being in charge of your own destiny is worth it. But if you’re going to be successful as an entrepreneur, you have to be prepared for the risks and challenges that come with it.
Most people think that by starting a business, you are taking a very huge risk in your life. That is true, because around 75% of businesses fail, depending on which research you found on the Internet. That is a very big failure rate. Fortunately, there is a solution to that.
The solution is to follow a proven business model and implement it on a daily basis. However, if you do not put in the hard work and dedicate yourself to your business, that is not going to help. If you do not hustle super hard, then business failure is guaranteed.
You do not need to work 16 hours a day. You have to work 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week and track it as if you are employed. However, all of these hours have to be filled with productive work. That is enough to run almost any type of business. There will always be times when something urgent will need to be done in a very short period of time and you have to work overtime, but that is acceptable.
It is much safer to have a job. You can move from one job to the next with ease. You will be able to keep the amount of money you make each month.
On the other hand, business cannot guarantee that much of stability when it comes to income. No matter how well you prepare, starting a business is a gamble to some point. However, you can earn a lot more money and live much better if you have a business.
In a job, you are likely to keep increasing your salary with a small percent each year and move up in your career.
However, if something unexpected happens with the company you are working in, you might be the first person who is going to be kicked out from the company and the business owner is going to be the last one. So, in that sense, the business owner is on the safer side.
You cannot predict situations like recessions. If something like that happens, you can sell all the assets of your company to make your business survive.
As a business owner you don’t get a tiny fraction of the company’s value. You get either a large percent or the full amount. Usually, you are likely to keep 100% of the company’s value in your own possession.
You are the boss and there is no one who can tell you what to do and when to do it. I would rather have a business, because I like to make decisions and everything in my business to depend on me.
However, many people prefer to be on the safer side and have a job.
