  • Building A Personal Brand - Is It Worth It
Marketing is changing, you can no longer make crazy claims, people will always find out... That's the benefit (and curse) of the internet... Here's the thing though, you can build a personal brand quite easily now and that creates trust and credibility, almost instantly... Which is exactly what people are looking for when they're making the buying decision.
“Want to connect on facebook? Add me on Facebook:

This podcast is about social media. How business used to be done and how is done now?
Before it was possible to hide your name and make all kinds of claim. For example, lifting some weights that you cannot actually lift or making some money that you do not actually make.
Right now everything is out and is open. Everything comes out. You cannot hide anything on the internet anymore.
Some students tell me that they do not want to run their business with their own name, because if they fail they will not be able to get a job afterwards. But by doing that and trying to hide, you are making this 10 times harder. People are very smart right now and it is very hard to hide anything on the internet. It is almost completely impossible.
Put your name out there in the front of your website or in the front of your YouTube. Create your own personal brand.
In the beginning of your business it is better to put your own personal name as a business name. In the beginning you lack credibility. People do not believe you. Whatever proof you present it is very hard to convince people.
If you put your name out there your credibility skyrockets. For me, I put my own name there and people trust me almost from the first day. That is because I speak honestly and I use my own name.
People who do not use their own name are always get rejected. People are getting smarter every year. Social media exposes everything.
What should you do with your business with social media?
Create social media from the very first day that you start your business. Send some paid traffic to it. Build a small following at least. You have to be active regularly. You need to be legit. That will make it a lot easier to get sales.
If you go on LinkedIn and create groups and communities of people who are looking for that sort of stuff. You can create content for them, based on what they want.
If you have a community of strong supporters, then any new client researching you will see that you have fans, you have very loyal customers, so they will be 10 times more likely to buy from you.
Trying to run a business with just called calling is very hard. It works. You get sales. It is very scalable, but it requires really hard work, where you are trying to convince people that you are legit.
In this type of marketing where people trust you earlier on, you do not need even contracts half of the time.
It is much easier for people who build social media followers to run a business than someone who is trying to build a boiler room sales environment.
I have seen people build seven figure companies using the boiler room method. Now, you do not have to do it anymore.
Put yourself out there. Use your real name. Build a corporate called website with a personal touch, where your face is on there and you welcome people in a video. Explain them who you actually are. People do not just buy the product or service. They also buy you. That is part of the sales process. They have to buy you before they buy your services or products.

  • How To Beat Loss Aversion Bias To Become Wealthier And Get Better At Sales
Here's exactly how I beat my loss aversion bias (bug in the human brain) to get more wealth, better at sales and marketing... Humans are hardwired to be risk averse, but you can beat it.
“Want to connect on facebook? Add me on Facebook:
    http://www.facebook.com/aleksander.vitkin
A lot of people are affected by loss aversion. It is just a way our brain works. It is a bug in our brain that prevents us from achieving true wealth in a lot of cases.
You should read the book called “Brain Bugs”. There is a study in the book of where people have $50 and participants are told to either get $30 or they gamble that they can lose or get $50. Because it is safer to get the $30 people chose to get the $30.
When they changed it to say: “You are going to lose $20 keeping only $30 and you can gamble that you keep $50 or lose the whole $50.” More that 60% chose to gamble even though the risk is the same in both examples. Just because you are supposed to lose something you are more likely to gamble.
This is very useful in business, marketing and in sales.
If you have an offer and you are on a sales call, if you lose opportunity if you do not take it, then people are going to be more likely to get in on that and buy, take the gamble, take the more risky path.
This does not just apply to sales in marketing. It applies to larger picture in business
A lot of businesses invest in super expensive website and they feel deeply invested in it. And because they are so invested at it at a certain point losing all that work that they did it is too painful. Even if they would make more money, if they the whole website, ditch the whole system, they will not do it, because of this principle of how our brain works.
If you can disconnect from this and you decide that you will not fall into this trap like so many business owner, so many sales people and so many marketers, you can make more money, you are going to be able to increase your wealth if you use this properly in your business and do not fall in this trap.
It is very simple concept. Yet, most people and most businesses fall in it over and over.
The next example is from my life. When I was travelling to somewhere they did not want to give me back the $100 deposit. I used to freak out and spend hours calling them and explaining them that they need to give it back.
For that same amount of time I could have made thousands of dollars in my business instead of wasting time trying to get that loss hundred dollars. Because my brain works the same way that your works I was more inclined to try to get that hundred dollars back.
Now, I actively stopped myself from trying to do that anymore.
When my time can be spent on something more profitable I do not care if I lose something. It is not that important anymore. I block that part of my brain. I go for the maximum gain and minimum loss in a sense of I try to maximize my time.
I do not try to listen to that part of my brain that is trying to trick me into chasing that thing that I lost. Instead I go after the maximum return in time investment. That is what works for many people who are making a lot of money on the internet.

  • How To Make Your Business Stand Out So You Get More Sales (Simple Tips)
Here's a few simple tips to make your business more unique, stand out more and sell more as a result.
“Want to connect on facebook? Add me on Facebook:
    http://www.facebook.com/aleksander.vitkin
In a lot of my videos I talk about that you should copy existing business models especially in the beginning when you are starting out. The more original you are, the more likely you are to have part of that originality fail, because you are trying to invent something new and it is always more risky.
Today, I am going to compliment that story with what actually makes you stand out in your business even if you are copying existing business models, even if you are looking at logos of your competitors and making a similar logo, so that you are part of the group.
There is an interesting scientific study about humor that I have read.
People are better able to recollect what you are talking about and your story if you use some humor. If you look at a lot of companies they do not use humor. They are focused just on quality and to deliver the best service to the customer. Most companies, agencies and lawyers are all the same.
What can you do to stand out in any industry?
1 – Instead of making it like this blind boring thing let’s use the example of this dollar shave club. They created a very viral YouTube video, which was very humorous. What happened was that people still remember that funny video about the guy from the dollar shave club.
Why does it work? Because people remember humor. It just sticks much better in our brain.
Why does it happen? Because it is different. That is what people perceive as funny. Humor is a little bit more complicated than that.
2 – If you look at a lot of successful YouTube channels they tend to implement a level of humor and entertainment. So, if you implement a level of humor and make it somewhat funny. All those YouTube channels with million views have a level of humor. That is because the most important thing in marketing is to get people’s attention.
How do you do that? You stay on top of mind. Generally the formula is that with humor people remember it better. That is the simplified version for you.
If you look at those videos, they implement humor, but also if you look at a lot of companies that are very successful they use intrusive marketing.
For example, instead of saying that we are so good at quality and that we are so well educated, you can say: “I just started this company. I am brand new in this business. My competitors have more experience. My competitors are very intelligent. They graduated from better school, but I am more willing to work harder for you and make this work for you.”
“So, I am going to tell you how awesome I am and how expensive my office is, because I am not spending my money on my office, I am spending my time to create value for you as a customer.”
I heard this from a lawyer. I can guarantee you this guy’s schedule is completely booked. He is admitting weaknesses. Lawyers do not like doing that. People remember that much better. If someone is looking for a lawyer he will go with this guy, because he at least seems like a human being.
That is what I learned from this study. It is also from my own personal experience and doing some research. Hope it helps you guys with standing out in your business and being more unique in business.
