ALIEN THEORISTS THEORIZING

Tuberculosis, also known as the Great White Plague, had killed one in seven people that had ever lived by the early 19th century. A disease that was once thought to be genetic, it became a scourge that would rise to a peak in places like Europe where it would account for 25% of all deaths. Before modern medicine produced a vaccine, there were very few options for those who would display symptoms of the wasting disease. The most humane treatment was to sequester a patient to one of the many sanitoriums that had been built in the early 20th century. Among these was a facility opened in Louisville, Kentucky to accommodate victims of the sudden outbreak of tuberculosis in the Jefferson County area. The building, originally built to house 50-60 patients, was eventually renovated and expanded to be able to handle up to 400 patients. Patients who suffered from the ravages of the disease and sometimes were subjected to barbaric experimental treatments. The sanitorium, long since abandoned, now is known as “one of the most haunted places in the world.” This case file, join the Theorists as they assess the apparition coalition that seems beyond superstition but isn’t above suspicion in...The Waverly Hills Sanatorium

More than 50 years ago, Erich Von Daniken published his arguably most influential piece of work Chariots of the Gods that posited extraterrestrials may have been represented as deities in the days of human antiquity. These figures in ancient mythology possessed advanced knowledge of things like mathematics, medicine, and even flight. The gods were often described as having divine craft that allowed them to travel vast distances over land in mere moments. One example are the vehicles flown by the gods taken from interpretations from Hindu mythology. It is said that some of these objects were powered by thought and could shine as bright as the sun when they took to the air. Descriptions often seem to closely resemble modern reports of UFO sightings. In 2004 the USS Nimitz carrier strike group investigated a group of unusual radar signatures off the coast of southern California. Aircraft from the carrier were deployed to obtain visual confirmation on these craft that had been puzzling the radar operators in the area for the last several days. One of these flights would capture infrared footage of what appeared to be a supremely maneuverable craft that outpaced the combat aircraft sent to intercept it. It would be 13 years until this footage was released alongside a New York Times article that provided insight into the US government’s 5 year long, 20 million dollar investigation into UFOs. As knowledge of these mysterious craft violating US airspace became public, government officials commissioned an inquiry into what information has been gathered to date and what the military has been doing about these craft. In late 2001, Keith Rylance was woken from a dead sleep by the incoherent and frantic sounds of his business partner Petra Heller. Keith entered into his caravan’s loungeroom to find objects normally on the center table scattered about the couch where he had last seen his wife, Amy, watching TV before he went to bed that night. After calming Petra down to a state in which she could put her thoughts together she would go on to tell him of the incredible sight she had just witnessed. A bright light piercing through the caravan window and enveloping her friend and Keith’s wife Amy and moving her through the air. This event would leave the local police and the UFO investigators who responded to Keith’s request for help scratching their heads to this very day. This case file, join the Theorists as they plunder another UFO story from down under in...The Amy Rylance/Gundiah Mackay Incident.
