  • 077: SIDE CAR - Big Heads Make for Easy Targets.
In this weeks SideCar, I discuss one of the byproducts of a successful life; a target for others to shoot at.
Hubris makes that target bigger. I share a lesson about how to maximize your success while still honoring the contribution of others in a collaborative space while using the example of UFC 193 and it’s outcome as a back drop.
The lesson here is that even the uber-successful need to be hungry; utilizing the skills that got them there everyday so that they can continue to expand.
At the top, you're always a target. Make it harder to hit by keeping your ego in check.

  • 074: Colby Saenz and a Throwback to Talking 2 Myself
January of 2015 was the last episode of Talking 2 Myself with both Bryce Prescott and Colby Saenz as hosts. After a two and a half month break, Bryce Prescott commenced again under the same name, and shortly after changed the name to what it is now now; Rules of Success.
Fast forward to November of 2015 and a year has passed since the very first episode was recorded. Being an important anniversary, Bryce and Colby thought it would be a fun and entertaining flashback to show the roots of this show in the format that brought you the first 13 episodes.
In the first segment, Colby shares what he’s been up to since relinquishing his hosting duties; including his work with a major sports retailer and his current entrepreneurial pursuits.  Fun banter, accountability and a recounting of the way things transpired ensues.
In the second segment. Colby leads off and the hosts talk politics, sports and the upcoming podcast Driven; created by Colby Saenz and produced but the same group that produces Rules of Success; DBP Media.
As a fan of the show, you won’t want to miss this. As a newer listener, this episode is a great spotlight into the roots of Rules of Success!

  • 073: SIDE CAR - A Throwback and Study of the Best Types of Relationships
As discussed last week, the day that this Side Car message was recored is the same day that the ‘ThrowBack Episode” was recording with former host of Talking 2 Myself; Colby Saenz.
In this Side Car, I discuss my feelings about how to best handle relationships that have had changes that don’t necessary line up with your original expectations. When Talking 2 Myself changed from two hosts to one, and then from there to be Rules of Success it was an adjustment for both he and I. The reason we were able to handle the adjustment is what I share in this message.
I also define authenticity in a way that you may not have heard before.
If you’ve had relationships where things didn’t go the way you wanted BUT there is still endearment in the relationship, listen in!

  • 071: SIDE CAR - A Year Since I’ve Been Talking 2 Myself
It’s been a year since my friend Colby and I started this podcast. Under the former name Talking 2 Myself we sat down in my office and fumbled through our first episode; discussing Lebron James vs. Kobe Bryant and the cultural significance of the “n” word.
Crazy right?! It’s a year later but those roots from the early days are still deep. The message today is about consistency and what it can produce. If you’d like a real time example in seeing how easy massive growth can be through consistency, Listen in!
