Sometimes life doesn’t give you time to recover from one thing before the next thing hits.

Within nine days, my husband lost both of his parents. Then, just two weeks after their funerals, he lost his job.

Grief. Loss. Uncertainty. And suddenly, decisions we thought we had years to make were sitting right in front of us.

We had to make one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made: Do we stay where we are and hold on to what feels safe… or do we take a chance, pack up our lives, and start over?

It’s about grieving the people you love, dealing with the fear that comes with losing financial security, making huge decisions when you’re already emotionally exhausted, and realizing that sometimes starting over isn’t part of the plan — it becomes the plan.
