Welcome to a brand new edition of Squash University!
Gilly and Jackson begin today’s show by discussing the first full day of the Papal Conclave from the Vatican City before diving into a preview of the 2025 Professional Squash Association World Championships, the biggest event on the pro squash calendar, kicking off this week in Chicago, Illinois (0:16).
They also react to the release of the 2024-2025 College Squash Association All-American selections and chew over who would win in a fight to the death: 100 (average) men or 1 silverback gorilla (35:32).
Then, friends of the program Timmy Brownell and Simon Herbert join the show to break down the draws for the World Champs and share how they’ve each been preparing for the event (50:17).
Simon plays former World #1 and 2016 World Champion Karim Abdel Gawad in the first round in Chicago this Saturday at 5:30 pm EDT, and Timmy takes on his fellow American Shahjahan Khan in the opening round on Saturday at 8:30 pm EDT.
Make sure to watch them play live on Squash TV!
