Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Romans 6:5 which says "For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."

"I read this verse and I thought of all the things Jesus took to the grave for me. He took my arrogance, and all my faults. He took my need to be right. My need for validation. He took the gossiper in me. The one who falls short of righteousness.

 

But on that resurrection day, all of the good things in me lived. Those good things were given to me by my father in heave. The same can be said for you.

 

All of the good things live in you. The kindness, gentleness, the self-control. The purity of thought and action. The best version of you lives.

 

So when you feel like you start acting out of line, remember that those traits were taken to the grave. No need to dwell on it but look to the good that lives within. That is the power you can tap into to change the day ahead. "
