The ways of the Lord are right. On today's Cup of Hope we look at this verse and understand that the word of God, that teaches us His ways, gives light to our eyes. It gives our eyes the ability to determine right from wrong. It gives us a compass by which we can live our lives and navigate through circumstances.

God's word is an instruction manual. It gives us insight into His character. The more we understand His word the more we come to know Him, who He is. His testimony is on each and every page of the Bible. Today on Cup of Hope we read Psalm 19:7 and learn about just this. We can trust in the word to direct us to know God, with a level of intimacy!

Do you realize what a blessing it is to be able to enter into the presence of God? Whenever and however? God is all around, and even living in us! That in and of itself is worth jumping up and down and singing and shouting praises! We are so BLESSED to be able to have relationship with God!

Don't miss out of the blessing of the presence of God being all around! Tap into it! Ask him to help you recognize and be aware of his presence all around. Lean on him to help you navigate your way through the day. Bring anything and everything to him. Why? Because the most powerful and mighty God want to love you like that!

Ezekiel 48:35 describes Jehovah Shammah as the name for the NEW Jerusalem to be establish.

I believe God is a God who gives in abundance. He provides all we need. Just as he dresses the flowers of the fields and the birds of the air. He cares for us. Sometimes though, we leave blessing on the table. We have not, because we ask not. 

Do you believe and trust that God will provide for your every need?

In Genesis 22:14 Abraham named the altar he built on Mount Moriah "Jehovah Jireh." Abraham was asked to give up what was most precious to him, Isaac, the blessed gift of the promise of God. It was the one thing he held most dear. YET he was willing to give Isaac up. And just at the right time and in the right place a lamb was provided to take Isaac's place. 

Abraham's willingness to give it all up, lead to God's provision of the lamb. God wants our obedience. He wants our trust. He wants our affections. More than anything else.

Who doesn't want favor? Right? I think we all want to be viewed as worthy to be favored. 

Exodus 17:15 we read of Moses building an altar before God and naming it "Jehovah Nissi" or "the Lord is my banner". The Lord is the one who leads me! Moses and the Israelites fought and beat the Amalekites. And after the battle, Moses built this altar. He knew that the Lord was with them in the battle. 

The battles of this life as certain. We will face many throughout our life times. But what is also certain is that the Lord will be with us, through each and everyone. Psalm 20:5 says, "Let us shout for joy at your victory and lift the banner in the name of our Lord!"

The victory is already won!

Today on Cup of Hope we talk about Jehovah Shalom - "the Lord is Peace." This definition of peace is even greater than our typical understanding. It is a peace that is whole, lacking nothing, nothing broken and nothing missing. Peace with God looks like having just what we need!

This account of calling God, Jehovah Shalom can be found in Judges 6:24 when Gideon built an altar after the Lord had lead them into battle to defeat the Midianites. Read also Psalm 29:11. God will bless His people with SHALOM!
