Dr Susanne Knabe-Nicol has worked in UK policing for over a decade in roles as varied as Police Community Support Officer for the Metropolitan Police, Regional Intelligence Analyst for the South-West forces, Major Crime Researcher, Investigator, and Change & Development Officer for Suffolk Constabulary, as well as Improvement & Evaluations Officer and then Improvement & Evaluations Coordinator for Suffolk & Norfolk Constabularies.
Susanne has gained a BSc in Psychology from the University of East London, an MSc in Interactive Multimedia from the University of Westminster, and an MSc and a PhD in Investigative Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She blended her academic with her policing career by completing her PhD part-time whilst working full-time for the police.
She has a strong interest in evidence-based policing and making sure that knowledge that is relevant to practitioners actually reaches them, and does so in a way that is accessible and usable.
