Growing up in New Orleans, surrounded by music and festivals, Amanda Shaw fell in love with the fiddle after seeing a musician play violin on TV. She started performing traditional Cajun folk songs at Fais Do-Do’s and knew she was finding success when she appeared on the local morning news.
