Having observed the City Council work session today, Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr are thinking it isn’t just people who live east of IH49 and south of IH20 who are unhappy with Shreveport’s current elected officials. Why is Councilman Willie Bradford pushing to improve a ditch along the which is on private property with $6,000,000 of City money, as well as rezoning for low-rent apartments in their community which the people in his district do not want?
Our American Mamas, Teri Netterville and Denise Arthur, discuss the disappointment so many voters in Shreveport have in Mayor Perkins because they voted for him thinking his military background would mean the kind of leadership for Shreveport which would bring the entire city together, as is required of leadership in the military.
And Bennie Dottie, President of the MLK Homeowners Association, drops by to talk about his neighborhood being strongly opposed to low income, government owned, multi-family apartments in the middle of their single family home neighborhood, and no one has bothered to talk to them about this.
