Resolutions! Goal-Setting! These two words can be very overwhelming.

Co-hosts Deanne Taylor and Tamara Anderson talk about how they as moms deal with making resolutions and breaking the resolutions into doable mini-goals.

One quote that provides a summary that resolutions and goal-setting are doable: "Resolution is an overarching concept of something you'd like to eventually achieve. but to achieve that, you really need to break those down into goals that will be incrementally achievable steps towards that ultimate resolution. And I think that's where many of us fail on our resolutions because we see this big picture, but we don't have steps to get there."

Cynthia Mauleón briefly reviews her personal journey that she shared in depth in the previous episode "Unseen Battles: A Mother's Story of Survival and Strength."

In this episode Cynthia talks about her journey of healing and moving forward as a single mother with three children dealing with mental illness. She reminds us that sometimes we need to "regroup and recognized that we are imperfect human beings doing the best we can to raise other human beings."

Starting a conversation at the United Nations with a women from Nigeria led to an experience of service for two moms from North Dakota. Emily Brooks and Dr. Renae Reinardy found ways to help mothers, so they traveled with their enthusiasm and skills to Nigeria.
