Arizona House speaker recently did not allow election reform bill to be passed in the Arizona House chamber of their state legislature. The bill proposed by Arizona state representative John Fillmore allowed the legislature the power to reject primary and/or general election results. Now, this is where I would raise a red flag and say that's illegal and against the alienable rights we have as Americans to have Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Voting Rights are a non-negotiable deal when it comes to a citizen's right and responsibility to hold government officials accountable. This proposed legislation in Arizona statehouse would have denied voters the ability to vote through early/absentee ballots. Voters need to be able to know their vote counts and is not looked down by being rejected because their state lawmakers do not like the results from the voters. Former President Donald Trump was speaking at a recent Save America rally on January 29th, 2022 in Conroe, Texas when he suggested if he ran for President again and won, he would pardon all of the January 6th rioters who have been prosecuted. According to a article from a contributor of The Hill media outlet, the Justice Department already has filed charges against seven hundred and plus people who took part in the January 6th insurrection. So realistically it is not possible for Trump to pardon all of the rioters from the Insurrection. There are many implications behind what Trump said at his latest attack on Justice Department and the last Presidential election. President Joe Biden and Justice Stephen Breyer announced on Thursday January 27th, 2022 that Justice Breyer is retiring from the Supreme Court later this year when the Court goes on recess or when their current court session ends around June. This recent political news story made headlines because this will give President Biden his first chance to nominate a person of his choice to the Supreme Court of The United States. His nominee just like any other President's Supreme Court nominee will stay on the court either until they feel it is time to retire or they are impeached by the government. Although, Supreme Court justices getting impeached by the Congress is very rare to happen in the United States. Justice Breyer has had a long career serving his country from the Army to the Supreme Court. Why is he retiring now and not five years from now? Nancy Pelosi announced today that she will run for re-election in the House of Representatives during this year's Midterm Elections. Pelosi, as you might remember was first elected to Congress way back in 1987 through a special Congressional election for a House of Representatives seat that was open then. The question after hearing her announce this political news is will she vie for a leadership position if the Republicans win back the Majority of the House chamber during this year's elections? Even if the Republicans are back in power of the Majority of the House of Representatives next year, will a politician such as Pelosi want to still be a top Democrat in the Minority leadership when the next session of Congress in January '2023 starts. Pelosi might not want to be elected to a Minority leadership spot if the Republicans win back the Majority in the House chamber this year. Which begs the question how many more political terms in office/Congress does Pelosi want to serve her district of California for? All of this political news analyzed in this episode. Enjoy!

On the one year anniversary of the January 6th, 2021 insurrection or riot, Vice President Kamala Harris made a remark comparing Jan. 6th, 2021 to Pearl Harbor and September 11th, 2001. However, you cannot compare the three events together because more people died from/on Pearl Harbor and 9/11 than January 6th, '21. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 both led U.S. into wars we could have not seen coming. Wars that cost hundreds and millions of soldiers and human lives beyond what anyone thought was likely to come after the end of these wars. What do you know about Pearl Harbor and 9/11 events? What will everyone remember about what happened during the year 2021? From Politics to culture, it was a crazy year. The January 6th Insurrection fired up a lot of division within our politicians and clearly weakened our government for a period of time. President Biden and Vice President Harris were sworn in to Office on January 20th, 2021. During their first 11 months in office, Biden and Harris have had to deal with many chaotic crises such as inflation, COVID-19, Immigration, Afghanistan withdrawal to name a few. Andrew Cuomo was forced to resign due to a report from the New York Attorney General detailing sexual harassment allegations and factual statements. This past year, we had a lot of unnecessary gun violence across America and weather disasters hit our country. Thanks to scientists and companies like Pfizer for vaccines like the COVID vaccine that was widely available to those who wanted to receive the shot. Going into this next year, Democrats need a plan and many strategies relating to how they plan on keeping their majorities in both chambers of Congress for the 22' elections. If they can make a plan, they will also need lots and lots of messengers to communicate it and spread awareness of how they will work for you in Congress leading up to them actually working on their legislative & political strategies for the 22' midterm elections. Communication and strategies can be key to winning an election by receiving votes from the most important voters out in the voting electorate. Democrats need to remember the lessons from the 21' gubernatorial election, where a Republican gubernatorial candidate won for the governor race for the first time in twelve years because he had a smart strategy when it came to messaging and meeting the people around the state of Virginia.
