The long awaited preliminary hearing for singer D4vd is officially underway in Los Angeles. Prosecutors will spend the next several days presenting their case against the 21-year-old once-rising star, who is facing life in prison or the death penalty if convicted for the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez. The prosecution says it has DNA evidence, surveillance footage, text messages, and online purchases all connecting David Anthony Burke, aka “D4vd” to the murder and gruesome dismemberment of his underaged girlfriend.

Miami police arrested social media stars Andrew and Tristan Tate, self described misogynists, for new sex trafficking and rape charges. British officials are seeking extradition of the brothers as these new charges bring the total number of alleged victims to seven, and the number of charges they’re facing to 59. 39-year-old Andrew, and 38-year-old Tristan are both former champion kickboxers, turned reality show contestants who have built an empire pushing hypermasculinity. They’ve been banned from most social media platforms, except for Elon Musk’s X, where Andrew Tate has more than 10 million followers.

It’s day one of the highly anticipated murder trial of a 35-year-old labor and delivery nurse, charged with the strangling deaths of her three young children. The defense says Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy was suffering from postpartum depression and was actively seeking treatment for it when the unthinkable happened. The prosecution claims the young mother acted with “deliberate, premeditated and extreme atrocity and cruelty” when she killed her 5-year-old, 3-year-old and 8-month-old children after sending her husband out to get take out dinner for the family.

The man who has been entrusted with rolling the teleprompter for President Trump’s speeches for the past decade, is now on paid administrative leave, as authorities investigate several bets he made on prediction markets. Gabriel Perez is accused of making bets on specific words showing up in the President’s speeches, winning as much as $100,000 from Kalshi. The prediction market claims he even withdrew certain bets he made if Trump skipped over lines in his speeches! Trump calling the situation “deeply unfortunate and frankly, a disgrace.”

After Republican Senator Thom Tillis demanded Acting Attorney General finally meet with Epstein survivors as a condition for his vote to confirm him, Todd Blanche sat down with several of the women at the Justice Department; it didn’t go well. Several of the women said they were even more convinced that Blanche should not become our next Attorney General, some calling him evasive at best, abrasive and condescending at worst. Blanche had a much different way of characterizing the meeting, calling it “productive”. Blanche’s nomination is not a given, just one Republican “no” vote will end his path to AG.
