What a remarkable turn of events, just weeks before an explosive trial was set to begin in Arkansas.  A judge has dismissed second degree murder charges against the leading candidate for Lonoke County Sheriff., 37-year-old Aaron Spencer. Spencer was in pursuit of 67-year-old Michael Fosler, who kidnapped his 13-year-old daughter while out on parole for allegedly sexually assaulting her months earlier. Spencer admits to running him off the road, shooting and killing Fosler and rescuing his daughter in the process. Wait until you hear WHY the judge dismissed the case and why that is now adding to the likelihood this self confessed killer may become Lonoke’s next sheriff.

A shocking story out of Los Angeles, 81-year-old beloved actor James Handy was found with stab wounds to his chest after police received an eerie 9-1-1 call. Police say the caller was the son of Handy’s girlfriend who was living with the actor, 44-year-old Michael Gledhill.  Wait until you hear what Gledhill told police, as investigators try to piece together the motive behind the brazen early morning attack, that left a man with more than 150 acting credits and a decades long career, dead on his own front lawn.

Police have arrested a former Navy cadet who has been married for 4 decades, for the 1986 rape and murder of 22-year-old Roberta Walls. 66-year-old Charles Berry is now in custody, after police finally linked DNA from the crime scene to a genealogy website that confirmed Berry as the killer. Now they’re looking to see if this brutal crime was a one time occurrence, or could Berry have more victims out there.

We’re following day one of the Karmelo Anthony trial, the teen accused of killing another teen after a scuffle before a track meet. There has been outrage that an all white jury was seated to decide Anthony’s fate. Anthony is black while the victim, 17-year-old Austin Metcalf is white. Today we heard opening arguments and the first witness, as protests erupt outside the courthouse.

20-year-old Weston Higginbotham was on a family vacation celebrating his younger brother’s high school graduation. After an argument with his mom, Higginbotham went out on his own, last seen walking towards a hiking trail in Kyoto at 8pm last Friday. He’s an experienced solo hiker, but his location services were turned off just before he disappeared and now family is begging anyone with information to help in the search for their son.

41-year-old Jesse Calhoun was in court yesterday, arraigned on a fifth homicide in a string of murders that terrorized the Portland, Oregon community. Family members of some of the young victims, who all ranged in age from 22 to 32, were present as Calhoun pleaded not guilty. Calhoun has a long criminal history of violent crime, but was released early under a prison firefighting program. That’s when Calhoun is alleged to have committed his killing spree, and police say their investigation remains open, saying there could be additional victims.

The Department of Justice has opened a new investigation into former New York Republican Congressman George Santos. President Trump commuted his 7 year sentence for financial crimes, but now he’s being investigated for insider trading. Officials say Santos bet against himself attending Trump’s SOTU address, after telling his X followers he was going.  By NOT going, he was then able to cash in tens of thousands of dollars with his bet.

53-year-old Andrew Lukehart is scheduled to die by lethal injection tonight at 6pm ET for the murder of his girlfriend’s 5 month old daughter. Lukehart fractured the skull of baby Gabriella after losing his temper while changing her diaper.  Hear the fabricated story he told police, before eventually admitting his guilt. And, to make matters worse, Lukehart committed the brutal killing after recently being released from prison for beating his former girlfriend’s 8-month-old daughter just two years earlier.
