After 5 days in Bahamian police custody, 58-year-old Brian Hooker is a free man. His wife, Lynette remains missing after he claims she fell overboard from their 8 foot dinghy in rough seas. News outlets have revealed text messages where Lynette described a rocky relationship, saying she “can’t be out there with him” referring to boating with Brian. Despite suggestions of foul play from Lynette’s daughter and friends of the couple, authorities say they don’t have enough evidence for charges, however, Brian Hooker remains a suspect as the search continues for Lynette.

The 16-year-old stepbrother of Anna Kepner has officially been charged with first degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse after Kepner was found asphyxiated, under her bed on a Carnival cruise ship in November of last year. Her step-brother is being charged as an adult and prosecutors say he is “a danger to others” claiming he committed “the most serious, egregious and violative crimes one person can inflict upon another.”

California Congressman Eric Swalwell has officially ended his bid for Governor, announcing on X late Sunday that it’s his fight to face false allegations, not his campaign’s. Swalwell is facing a criminal investigation in Manhattan for an alleged rape of a former staffer in 2024 and a possible expulsion vote in Congress this week. DHS has also opened an investigation into the Congressman over the legal status of his Brazilian nanny.

We are hearing directly from 58-year-old Brian Hooker’s attorney, who says his client was interrogated for more than 3 hours “in relation to causing harm which resulted in his wife’s death.” Police must charge Hooker in connection with the disappearance of Lynette Hooker by Monday evening, or he will be released. Despite a week of searching, Lynette’s body has not been found after her husband said she fell overboard in rough seas. His friends posted purported audio of Brian describing what happened to Lynette and how a “cascade of failures” led to his inability to rescue her.

The Manhattan DA’s office has opened a criminal investigation into the allegations made by Congressman Eric Swalwell’s former staff member who claims Swalwell raped her in a New York City hotel room in 2024. The young woman made several allegations against the leading Democratic candidate for California Governor that spanned several years along with 3 other women who made allegations of sexual harassment against Swalwell. There are growing calls for California Congressman Eric Swalwell to drop out of the race for Governor amid accusations of sexual assault and sexually inappropriate behavior with other young women.
