You know her from NBC's "The Voice" and "The Sing-Off" but today hear Amy Whitcomb like never before—at the piano and singing her own songs.

Amy Whitcomb introduced herself to America when she walked onto the set of NBC’s “The Sing-Off” in 2009. She stood out even though she was one of nine singers in Noteworthy: BYU’s female a cappella group. She had a blonde mohawk, sang a lot of major parts and got plenty of camera time. When the show ended we (especially here in Provo) knew we’d see more of her in the future. Which was exactly what happened.

A couple years later she was back on “The Sing-Off” but this time as the lead singer of a group she helped create called Delilah.  And her penchant for stratospheric belting made her an instant favorite and also had Shawn Stockman (of Boyz II Men fame) dubbing her “a female Steven Tyler.”

And after that she competed as a soloist for team Adam on “The Voice”—now keep in mind all this comes from a singer whose family has “self-proclaimed” tone-deafness and usually only sings at Christmas! Still, Amy’s parents and three older brothers have long supported her love of music—a love that started with piano lessons (that she begged for) at age 4.

With her band, The Whits, Amy Whitcomb opened for Brad Paisley and David Archuleta at Provo’s Stadium of Fire. And released two EPs.  She’s performed at the A-Cappella-Palooza festival in Boston with the likes of Pentatonix, Ben Folds and the Dartmouth Aires.

And this isn’t the first time we’ve had her in our studio—the last time she was here she sang excerpts from the epic rock opera “Deep Love” alongside Savannah Berry, Garrett Sherwood and the duo Midas Whale.
