Welcome to the 29th episode. This episode I spoke with I would say a big inspiration on my work ethic and ideas when it comes to the theatre scene here in Australia. Amy Ingram. It finally happened and I am speaking to someone from the movement world. In episode 28 Jen Murray is my guest. Jen is a yoga practitioner, dance choreographer, and university tutor. We discuss Jen's career quite thoroughly, this concludes with us finding out why Jen moved to Australia. We also speak about the differences between Canada's art sector and Australia's and I definitely enjoyed her answer to that final question I always ask. Welcome to the 27th episode. I've been very excited to release this episode as I got to speak to renowned radio host Spencer Howson. Spencer has 25 + years of radio experience to draw from which makes this an invaluable episode to listen to. In this interview, you can tell he's actively watched the industry change over the years. We speak about his early days in radio, his love of community and information, his intentions to constantly innovate his radio shows, what he defines as a radio act as well as some general chats involving the radio and audio industry. He was incredibly responsive and open to my questions which makes for a great interview. In episode 26 I speak with Emma Dean. Emma is currently a Brisbane-based musician, who performs in cabarets, writes musicals, and can be frequently seen singing in a number of bands around Brisbane. She brings an immense openness and vulnerability to the interview and it definitely creates a great feel for the episode. We speak about her journey as a musician. Her time in New York. Her experiences here in Australia. Her interest in cabarets and why collaboration is such a fundamental part of her life. Also, she invites me to join her community choir which was a bit of fun. Welcome to the very first episode of 2021. In Episode 25 I start the year off very strong by speaking to Dramaturg and industry professional Saffron Benner. Saffron was once an academic who designed and taught the state's first formal dramaturgical course. Saffron has been apart of the arts industry for a number of years and as such as much wisdom to impart. It doesn't matter if you're not interested in Dramaturgy, or perhaps don't know what that is, this episode is a good insight into the theatre scene in Australia. This is a little bonus episode on my reflections for this year. It has been a massive effort producing this podcast, while also being so rewarding. It's episode 23 which is the final interview for the year. Lucky last is Maddie Nixon. Maddie is a playwright, stage manager, producer, youth arts practitioner. We speak about her early days and her progression from occupation to occupation. We then narrow in on the Queensland premiers drama award and Maddie being a finalist within it. It was definitely an enjoyable, comfortable and at times personal interview. A big welcome to episode 21. This time round I speak with Anatoly Frusin. Anatoly is a director, a one-time actor as well as, a playwright who has translated the likes of Chekhov so those none Russian speaking individuals can enjoy it. He currently works as an educator for young aspiring artists in Tafe Queensland. After speaking about Anatoly's movements throughout differing studies and countries, we speak about translating texts as well as his position as an educator and a director, and plenty more.
