In the recent weeks the country's spot light has been firmley put on the leadership qualities of the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshega, following the critical decision she had to make when it comes to saving the disrupted academic year. Motshega, has been under pressure to re-open the schools and save the academic year, but the teacher Unions and parents are not convinced that all the schools are covid complient. The minister had initially announced that the schools were to re-open on the 1st of June, but had to set another date because most of the schools were not covid ready.
