Hamas has laid out a series of demands in a response to an Israel-backed ceasefire proposal. The offer is likely to be unacceptable to Israel’s prime minister, who has called for a “total victory” in Gaza. Richard Haass served as the Director of Policy Planning at the State Department and he joins Christiane from New York.
