In Daniel 2 we are given the first great prophecy of the book of Daniel, a prophecy that maps out the major Gentile powers of world history all the way through the tribulation to the second coming of Jesus Christ and His eternal kingdom.

Daniel’s example, in Daniel 2, provides us with a crash course in how to be a faithful employee and give God glory even if your boss is a tyrant.

From Psalm 16:10 we learn that believers need not fear death, for they are promised life after death. God will not abandon believers to the grave but resurrect and glorify their bodies in the same way that Jesus was resurrected with a glorified body.

In this sermon, we learn important lessons from the life of Daniel, who, as a youth, resolved to give God glory in everything, even in very trying circumstances.

In this sermon on Psalm 127 we learn to trust the Lord in all things, from business to children. The Lord must build our house, watch our city, and labor through us, and give us children. We answer the question, “How does the Lord do things that we must also do?” We learn that we must trust the Lord for receiving, training, and launching children into the world.

In this particular sermon we look at two major prophetic events, the Great White Throne Judgment and the Eternal State. These two events both occur after Jesus’ millennial reign, and help us to understand what eternity has in store for both unbelievers and believers.

From Rev. 20:1-6 and a sampling of related Old Testament texts, this sermon addresses the establishment of Jesus’ millennial kingdom, when Satan is bound, the tribulation saints resurrected to reign with Christ, and the duration of Jesus’ reign is stated repeatedly. We why Rev. 20:1-6 should be taken at face value, according to the plain meaning of the text and not spiritualized as is the habit of some.

In this sermon, we examine the 70 prophetic weeks of Israel’s history as related to Daniel by the Angel Gabriel in Dan. 9:24-27. We discuss what the prophets of the Old Testament in general, and Daniel in particular, did and didn’t see as they looked ahead, and how there are often time gaps in prophecies that are undetectable until the future revelation is given. Daniel 9:24-27 is one of the most critical prophecies in all the Bible.

In this sermon we do a quick overview of the various kinds of resurrections in the Bible, but focus on the first stage of the first resurrection of believers at the end of the church age, often referred to as “the rapture” or “the catching away of believers to meet the Lord in the air.” We examine I Thes. 4:13-18 as our primary text, but consider other reasons for believing the rapture will occur before the tribulation.

In this sermon the church, and when the church age began, are defined. Romans chapters 9-11 are surveyed to show why replacement theology is false and there remains a salvation plan of God for the ethnic nation of Israel that is distinct from the salvation plan of God that includes both Jew and Gentile in the church.
