  • Aubrey Dameron

Transgender people are over four times more likely to be the victim of a violent crime than their cisgender counterparts. The rates of murder, rape, and violent crime of Indigenous people are all higher than the national average. In fact, according to the CDC, indigenous females experienced the second-highest rate of homicide in 2020.

Aubrey Dameron is a transgender woman of Cherokee descent. On March 9, 2019, she walked out of her mother’s home in Grove, Oklahoma. Her phone stopped pinging 100 feet away, and she hasn’t been seen since. Aubrey’s disappearance highlights the struggles that trans people face in general, as well as the specific struggles she had within her own community and family. Was Aubrey’s disappearance related to her “lifestyle,” as police claim, or was it someone close to her who made Aubrey disappear?

Anyone with information on the disappearance of Aubrey Dameron is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or go online at https://tips.fbi.gov/. You can also call the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service at 918-207-3800.

  • Teekah Lewis
Every parent has done it. We’re out with our kids having a good time, and keeping an eye on them. We turn our heads for a second to order food or answer a question. We turn around, and our kids are still there, enjoying themselves. But deep down, we all have the same fear: we’ll look back and our child will be gone. On January 23, 1999, Theresa English lived every parent’s worst nightmare. That evening, she was with a dozen family members at a bowling alley, and her two-year-old daughter, Teekah Lewis was happily playing a car racing game. She was distracted for just an instant, and her entire world fell apart.

It wouldn’t be until later that the family would discover that Teekah wasn’t the first child to be harmed at the New Frontier Lanes bowling alley in Topeka, Washington. There was a predator out there, and the Lewis family has been trying to find him and Teekah for over twenty years.

The Tacoma Police Department is asking anyone with information about Teekah Lewis’s disappearance to contact Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can also call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-842-5678). There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrest and charges in the case.

  • Stephanie Crane
Challis, Idaho was idyllic. In 1993, it was the type of small town where everyone knew each other and kept their doors unlocked. The children played outside and only came home when it was time for dinner. Nothing can last forever though, and on October 11, 1993, everything in the small town changed forever.

On that day, 9-year-old Stephanie Crane said goodbye to her friends at a bowling alley and vanished. Stephanie’s disappearance was incomprehensible to her family and the residents of the tight-knit town. In fact, her disappearance would have lasting effects on everyone who lived in Challis and would be just the first of many tragedies that struck the Crane family.

There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Stephanie’s disappearance. If you think you have information about Stephanie, call the Custer County Sheriff's Office at (208) 879-2232 or you can call the Custer County Sheriff tip line at (208) 879-5372 and leave a message. You can also contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-842-5678).

• Re-Release: Update: Akia Eggleston - An Arrest Has Been Made
This is a re-release of our update episode from February 2022 on the arrest of Michael Robertson for Akia Eggleston's murder.

We have huge news in the Akia Eggleston case. Akia was a 22-year-old pregnant woman who went missing from Baltimore, Maryland on May 3, 2017. While there was a clear suspect, no arrests were made, and her case went cold. Akia's story started gaining more notoriety toward the end of 2021, and on February 3, 2022, Michael Robertson was arrested for the murders of Akia and her unborn child.

In this episode, we break down this news, go over the probable cause affidavit, and talk about theories. This is followed by a re-release of our original episode on Akia's case from September of 2021.

  • Akia Eggleston Update: The Trial
We are also re-releasing our update episode on Akia Eggleston, which details Robertson's arrest and delves into the Probable Cause Affidavit.

On May 3, 2017, Akia Eggleston, who was eight months pregnant, was planning to move into a new home with Michael Robertson, the father of her child. That day, she went to several banks and ATMs and withdrew large sums of money to pay expenses related to the new apartment. That evening, she sent a Facebook message inviting someone to her baby shower, but then all communication from the young mother stopped. Four days later, Akia failed to show up to her own baby shower, and her family knew something was wrong.

It would take over four years, but police arrested the father of her child, Michael Robertson for her murder and that of their unborn son, Anubis. This week, we're bringing you the trial of Michael Robertson, and justice for Akia and Anubis.

  • Re-Release: Alicia Navarro
This is a re-release of our original episode on the disappearance of Alicia Navarro that originally aired in April of 2022. Alicia was found safe on July 26, 2023, after being missing for nearly four years.

“I ran away. I will be back. I swear. I’m sorry.” Jessica Nuñez awoke on the morning of September 15, 2019, and found that note in her daughter Alicia’s room. Alicia Navarro’s 15th birthday was only five days away, but she was gone. Alicia wasn’t the type of kid to run away. She had social anxiety and liked to keep her inner circle closed. So who could have convinced her to leave her Glendale, Arizona home in the middle of the night? Jessica fears that the answers surrounding her daughter’s disappearance may lie in her daughter’s secret online activities.

In this episode, we also talk to our 13-year-old kids about staying safe online and what they think may have happened to Alicia.

  • Found: Alicia Navarro
Alicia Navarro has been found! Alicia was 14 when she left her parents a note saying, "I ran away. I will be back. I swear. I'm sorry," and disappeared. Her family feared that she had been lured somewhere by an online predator.

After nearly four years, the now 18-year-old Alicia walked into a police station in a small town in Montana, over 1,200 miles from her Glendale, Arizona home.

We originally covered Alica's story in April of 2022. We've re-released that episode, which you can listen to now to get more context about her disappearance. This minisode talks about the little information we do have and features audio both from the Glendale Police press conference and Alicia's mother, Jessica Nuñez.
