Teen rents unseen apartment online only to realize it's in a retirement community.

Madison Kohout was looking for a new place to live in Oklahoma when she came across a cheaper two-bedroom apartment. Before she knew it, the 19-year-old from Arkansas was moving in.

“When I went out to my car, I started meeting some of my neighbors,” Kahout told Insider. “To my surprise, they were all over the age of 65.”

Moving in was so hectic that she didn't even notice the "Senior Citizen Apartments" sign outside the complex until a week later.

“The first week of moving here was crazy!” she told Newsweek. “I was busy with finding a job and setting up my apartment, I didn’t even notice! I thought it was a bit weird that all of my neighbors were significantly older than me. After my first week I saw a sign in front of the apartments, and it had clicked!”

“I realized I accidentally moved into a retirement village,” Kohout told Insider.

She shared a video on TikTok explaining her situation which now has more than 3.4 million views and 600,000 likes.

The teenager now documents her new life on TikTok for her 88,700 followers.

“How is life at the old folks’ home, you might ask? Let me show you,” she started off one of her recent videos. “When I get home it’s usually always super quiet. Because most of my neighbors are asleep by the time I get home. But one major perk is that I can play music whenever I want to, because some of them can’t hear.”

She seems to be making the best of her situation even joking with her followers, "if you're struggling with rent, start your early retirement."

A driver let off on a speeding ticket in Florida donates the money she would have spent on the fine to a fallen officer's fund.

Kevin Baker, a Motor Unit Deputy for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office stopped a car going 15 mph over the speed limit in February.

If charged, the driver would have been fined $253. Baker decided to let her go with just a warning since she had a pretty clean driving record.

The driver was so touched by the Deputy that she decided to take part in her own act of kindness.

A few months later, Baker received a letter from the driver containing a check for $253. It was for the memorial fund of Michael Magli, a fallen Pinellas County Deputy.

"Just wanted to say thank you for the warning on Tarpon Ave," the card states. "I am mindful. Coffee or donuts seemed inadequate, therefore, please accept this check for Officer Magli fund, from neighboring Pinellas County who died tragically serving."

Michael Magli passed away on Feb 17, 2021 "as a result of a vehicle crash" according to the department. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office created the memorial fund for his family.

"To this citizen: thank you for this incredible gesture ... not only have you put a big smile on the faces of #teamHCSO, but our brothers and sisters at Pinellas County Sheriff's Office as well," the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office stated on Facebook.

The department ended the post by saying, "a hero remembered never dies."
