This story is based in California when The Whiting family was enjoying their last day of vacation on the beach.  10 year old Haylee went for a swim in the ocean and got caught in a rip current. Haylee's mom, Samantha, heard her daughter crying for help so she went in after her.  The rip current was so strong, it started to take both of them down.

Fortunately, a passerby heard the screaming and sprang into action.

Kevin Cozzi grabbed Haylee from her mother's arms leading them both to safety on the shore. Nobody suffered any injuries and the family returned to their Texas home the next day.

They never got Kevin's last name so they took to social media and quickly connected with him and realized he was getting married soon.  The daughter Haylee came up with the idea to help pay for the wedding so they started a Go Fund Me page and have raised almost $50,000. Kevin extended an invitation to Haylee and her mother and they will be attending!

You can meet a significant other online in many ways.  Through social media, through dating apps, but how about a Facebook group?  That doesn't sound so crazy does it?  How about a Facebook group for chunky cats?

29-year-old Adam Lawrence from England and 26-year-old Anna Hosey from Chicago met online in October 2019 after Adam posted a photograph of himself holding his buddy's cat in a Facebook group called "This Cat Is Chonky."  Anna saw the picture and called Adam cute... Adam then direct messaged her and they started chatting.  2 months later after they had been talking online, through text, and through phone calls, Adam flew to America to meet her.

They have dated long-distance ever since, and when Adam’s next visit to the States got cancelled due to the pandemic, Anna flew to London as soon as the border opened in July 2020.

She moved in with Adam for lockdown and Adam proposed. Now these two smitten kittens are happily engaged just one year after their first enounter!

This has been going on since 1998 in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky...

Rabbit Hash’s canine mayors don’t make legislative decisions for the town, which is owned by the Rabbit Hash Historical Society, but their elections raise money to keep the town’s historic buildings in good condition.

A French bulldog named Wilbur won the election for mayor Tuesday night with 13,143 votes.
