Andie saw a very nice sneaker on the side of the road this morning.  She thought to herself that somebody is going to be upset when they look in their gym bag and only see 1 sneaker.  The person had to have left it on the roof of their car and drove off.

Over the weekend, Andie and her hubby went over a friends house and enjoyed some cocktails and a nice bonfire.  In the morning, she could not find her phone anywhere.  She searched the house and it was nowhere to be found. She went on her I-pad and went on the locate my phone app and it showed it was on her property somewhere.

She went outside to retrace her steps, waving at neighbors walking by or up early running while she was in her pajamas.  She felt like it was the walk of shame because she just met these people the night before and now she is on her hands and knees in her front lawn rummaging through leaves and bushes.  

It happens to the best of us!

If you could see that someone was in trouble, would you do nothing or would you step in?

Well, this is a story about stepping in!

A couple in NJ were parked and having a conversation when a man approached the vehicle identifying himself as a police officer and told the couple they were breaking the law for being intimate in public.  He then ordered the couple to pay him to avoid being arrested. 

The man said he was armed and had the woman get in the backseat while he hopped in the passenger seat and told the man to drive to a nearby bank. 

The car was followed by another vehicle driven by the accomplice. 

While they were in the ATM vestibule, the woman mouthed "help me" to another woman that she saw in the parking lot, who then called police. 

The 2 suspects were then arrested by police and charged with kidnapping, carjacking and robbery, and impersonating a police officer.

Dave wrote a nice note about his ex Susie...

My ex-wife Susie and I have little or no contact, in fact it’s been that way for many many years. It hasn’t been always intentional; time has simply done what time does. Time certainly is a thief as they say. My respect however never really went away. I guess it was always just below the surface of a fleeting nod or distant wave, but certainly never voiced. In spite of all this our 3 children somehow navigated this, and have become great young adults and super citizens, we have been blessed. Dysfunctional but blessed.

Last February our family was shaken to the core with Susie’s diagnosis of advanced breast cancer. It pained me deeply to see fear in my children’s faces and imagining the unthinkable for them. I too found myself at a loss to imagine such potential sadness.

I felt helpless for the first time in a long time.

Bravely, she opted for a double Mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I’m happy to report, to date I hear she’s doing fine. Obviously, we still don’t talk, but if we did, I’d let her know how proud of her I am and how happy I am she’s here to nod and wave to.

Please consider this humble brave soul as one of your warriors because she’s one of strongest, toughest ones I know.
