Just like that we say good bye to 2023. From heavy rain to big seas and rain on the coast, the weather might not be great but the fish are biting!Offshore: The bigger seas and heavy winds have made fishing on the boats a little unpleasant but the bumpy trips have been worth it.Rock and Surf: The rock and surf anglers have been battling the crowds at some beaches but the fishing has been good on the edible and ined front.Freshwater: The trout are feeding well, keeping the midlands anglers happy. With holidays upon us and some awesome conditions, it is time to get out there and enjoy the sea.Offshore: The fishing off Durban has been a bit slow with the colder water but the dorado are starting to show properly and there are plenty of other fish being landed.Rock and surf: The summer fishing has been hot! The sand sharks have been the one of the main targets along with the bigger flatfish like the honeycomb or back-breaking thorntail. Freshwater: The freshwater fishing has been going very well in all facets. We are in the home stretch, just a few more days to Christmas and just a few more past that to the end of 2023. We are almost at the end of 2023... we made it! The fishing has been electric over the last week with all facets having awesome action.Offshore: The offshore fishing has been a bit bumpy with the winds we have had recently. There have been edibles and drag-peeling inedibles. Freshwater: The freshwater fishing has been hot!
