Having won several awards in the early season as well as being critically acclaimed and highly engaged on the streaming platform the new rendition of the story seems to have resonated much higher in the zeitgeist than the bog standard Disney Reboot of their own landmark animated feature. The best movie of 2022 was easily Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. What an absolutely perfect animated film to come in clutch at the end of the year. It brought back a sense of fun, heart, pacing and zeal that has been seriously lacking from it's Disney and Pixar counterparts. Not to mention REALLY GREAT VILLAINS!
