  • Peter Millard, after the tone

Peter is a filmmaker living in Great Britain. His films are very recognizable as he created a language of his own made of jazz, distorted voices and moving images looking like children's drawings. He has been selected in numerous international festivals, bringing joy, fun and energy in screening rooms.

  • Mor Israeli, after the tone

Mor Israeli is an animation director and illustrator from Israel. After graduating at 'la Poudriere' where she studied animation filmmaking, she decided to stay in France. Inspired by photography, humans, and their unique gestures, her work is usually influenced by minimalism and tends to a more realistic style that we enjoyed in her film "Clapotis". The last time we had a drink together was a year ago in Paris, along with Luca Toth and I have been wondering how she has been since then.

  • Sarina Nihei, after the tone

Sarina Nihei is a Japanese animation director and illustrator, though she might be the most westerner one. She graduated at Royal College of Art in London. Her graduation film ’Small People with Hats’, won several prizes at festivals including OIAF, HAFF and British Animation Awards. We spent time together when she was hosted in the NiNoKo residency in Denmark.
Specialising in hand-drawn animation, she makes dark tales and cynical short films, using simple pens and deep symbols.

About Animation Hotline

From the publisher's feed

Animation Hotline is a voicemail for lonely animation filmmakers and artists. The cancellation of so many festivals lately has stopped happy spontaneous discussions. I wanted to hear and share news from those animation creators, giving them the opportunity to leave a message, without any pressure.
