  • Camila Kater, after the tone

Camila Kater is a Brazilian director. Her international career began recently with her first professional short film ‘Carne' (entitled "Flesh" in English), awarded in several festivals. Her ingenuity and discretion will us to be attentive to each detail she shows on screen. Dealing with feminity, specifically in Brazil, in 'Carne' was a strong first statement and I am curious about her next steps.

• Eva Cvijanovic, after the tone

Eva Cvijanovic is a director from Bosnia, based in Montreal, Canada. Her last film, the “Hedgehog's Home”, travelled around the globe, from festival to festival, where she shared with simplicity and humility, her practical craft-based process. I was very curious about what project she is currently working on, and since Spela Cadez recently asked news from her, Eva kindly replied.

  • Hisko Hulsing, after the tone

Hisko Hulsing is a Dutch painter, musician and animation director. We met in Ottawa in 2011 when ‘Junkyard' won the well-deserved Grand Prix for a short film. His work inspired me over the years, from his animation sequences in the documentary 'Montage of Heck', to the recent Amazon series 'Undone'. He plays remarkably with classic painting and CG technologies to offer us pure pieces of art.

About Animation Hotline

From the publisher's feed

Animation Hotline is a voicemail for lonely animation filmmakers and artists. The cancellation of so many festivals lately has stopped happy spontaneous discussions. I wanted to hear and share news from those animation creators, giving them the opportunity to leave a message, without any pressure.
