  • The Case Study of Vanitas - Sexy VAMPIRES just being sexy...
This week we look at a steam punk 18th century Paris and a vampire hunting extravaganza! We look at the sketchy etchy, discuss some fantastic directorial choices and play a dangerous game of Googling things that could have gone very badly! If you're into vampires, witty comedy and great animation, this may be right up your ally!

  • Godzilla: Singular Point - A GODZILLA show without Godzilla?
This week we look at the epitome of Japanese culture in this modern take on the classic that is Godzilla. This mystery sci-fi sure has some unique qualities that really help it stand out from the rest of the Godzilla content out there, but is the techno-babble just a little too much? We answer all the big questions this week as we ask is it okay to laugh at an anime baby face planting? And where do you store your laptop porn? as we endeavour to decide whether this can be considered a Gateway show into anime!

  • The Heike Story - Does it demand too much from the viewer?
This week we look at the very popular Japanese account telling the story of the Heike, and according to Wikipedia: is a Japanese original net animation series adapted from Hideo Furukawa's 2016 translation into modern Japanese of The Tale of the Heike, a 13th-century historical epic depicting the rise and fall of the Taira clan. Honestly, do your own research if this interests you or listen to Sam and Will pick it apart and see if it's something that might take your fancy!

  • Dr Stone - TERRIBLE bad guy motivation?
This week we take a trip into the future and look at Dr Stone! • Harlock: Space Pirate - The RULE of COOL put to the test...
What a wonderful concoction this film offers - Space; Pirates; time travel; ghost ships; planet destroying technology... Sounds like a recipe for awesomeness! However, is it all just too much to cram into one movie? Listen to the boys discuss whether Harlock lives up to the hype as they pull it apart and decide whether it's worth a place in the Aniverse!

  • Sk8 the INFINITY - Is this the perfect WESTERN SHONEN?
Is this passionate interpretation of a skating shonen one for the Aniverse?  With some niche content and some wacky, over the top and at times unrealistic acrobatics, this show could be a little too hyperbolic for some people. However, with some cracking moments of animation and comedy slap stick pieces, can this show convince a noob to take up anime?

  • Violet Evergarden - a WASTE of a great backstory
As Sam so elequently put it, "Do you love good animation (at the expense of everything else?)" then potentially this might be the show for you! With some serious issues covered, the boys have mixed emotions about this show and if it's close to your heart, go in at your own risk because they don't pull any punches. A beautifully shot anime that potentially misses the mark and provokes some interesting discussion!

  • Sonny Boy - The Hikikomori Dilemma
This week, the show gets deep and metaphorical as our two hosts try to solve the Hikikomori crisis currently present in Japan. Alongside that, they also imitate cat noises, make ass jokes and ruthlessly over analyse another 3 episodes of a new anime show - all the things you hate to love!

  • Angels of Death - is not good...We PROMISE
This week we watch the first three of Angels of Death, the RPG turn anime, and have to unpick this weird labyrinth of forced relationships, unbelievable character motivation and unpalatable dialogue. Sam also turns briefly cockney and the boys reminisce about the good old days of Doctor Who!
