Genres in anime are, well, different. The most popular genre tags don't describe what type of show it is, as much as it describes who the show is targeted to. Shonen, Shojo, Seinen. These all describe the gender and age range the show is targeted to rather than the subject matter of the show.

In this episode we're discussing why people put so much weight into what genre an anime falls into. We bring up a few genre breaking anime, but its mostly ranting and some novice psychology from Earthworm.
