A great cast of characters can really carry an anime. It's even better when those characters are part of a team. In this episode we're talking about the best squads in anime. Maybe it stems from our shonen roots, but we absolutely love when a good group of characters team up to take on the conflict of the story, together. From classic shonen squads, to moe-girl school clubs, we've got it all.

Let us know what your favorite anime squad is! And help us settle the debate once and for all, Phantom Troupe or Akatsuki!

He's done it. JD has watched 50 different anime series! As always, to celebrate this milestone he's counting down his top 25 anime. He's been working hard to hit 50 and now he gets his day in the sun. The "Simple Man" is ready to reflect on this adventure and lay his taste out for everyone to see. Whether you agree with his rankings or get massively triggered, we hope you enjoy!

Genres in anime are, well, different. The most popular genre tags don't describe what type of show it is, as much as it describes who the show is targeted to. Shonen, Shojo, Seinen. These all describe the gender and age range the show is targeted to rather than the subject matter of the show.

In this episode we're discussing why people put so much weight into what genre an anime falls into. We bring up a few genre breaking anime, but its mostly ranting and some novice psychology from Earthworm.

We've also got our monthly Patron Q&A!

For this episode topic we're keeping it simple. We're talking about the smartest characters we've seen in anime. Whether it be a high IQ brain like Senku, or a brilliant tactician like Joseph Joestar, or somewhere in between. Was L smarter than Light? Is Meruem the smartest of all time? Listen to our thoughts and let us know what you think!
