Anime Pulse

Two is better than one, at least when it comes to coatings. You need a nice solid clear coat to protect your paint. And to keep that nice and safe, you should apply a nice sacrificial coating like wax. Our manga reviews are like that wax, our sacrifice for your entertainment. Going so far as to take on manga that’s requested as well. First up is Tim with a request in Red River. It’s a nineties manga and is it a blast from the past. It’s about a Japanese high school girl with shojo legs who ends up in the past around the Hittite empire around the same time as …

This week on Anime Pulse we got jail breaks, dull apocalypses, and horrible combat. Up first IRL news with Andrew slam jamming his opponents in Street Fighter as Ken, and Joseph slogged his way through Lust Planet to play a better game about killing aliens. Then in the industry news a bell rung for peace is silenced for peaceful reasons, and apparently isekai is bad for the industry. Lastly the reviews with Joseph sitting around a dark forest being super dull and doing a heck of a lot of nothing, while Andrew chases his dream of being the best Uma to Musume since Goldship.

This week on Anime Pulse we got Santas, xeno scum, and golden ball hunting. Up first Andrew is pushing himself to go even further beyond, and Joseph wrapped up his time playing Rebel Galaxy. Then in the industry news there is nothing! So we talk Christmas instead. Lastly a rare fusion review! Joseph and Andrew link forces to watch a dorky guy and a genki girl interlock fingers, fight mongolian death worms, and deal with a really annoying cousin.

This week on Anime Pulse we got ageless magicians, the best goth baddies, and raises. Up first is the IRL news where Andrew returned to being the 2nd best M. Bison player in his region, and Joseph took a leap of faith and asked his boss for a raise. (sort of ) Then in the industry news the crunchiest roll becomes a little crunchier. And finally a rare gattai show has things see us out with Joseph shooting water jets from his hands at demon lords, and Andrew creates his own magic to control the season all to win $50,000,000.

Let’s start off with a joke. What comes after sunset? Knight time! What better way to segue into the movie we have. It’s all about knights but not the last one. Also it’s a tale about a knight but not a knight’s tale. It’s about the last ones, the Last Knights[2015], if you will. There was no more after this. They were all clearanced out and we moved on to things like surfers. So Clive Owen is a knight and he serves Morgan Freeman. They’re both under an Emperor and there’s an evil finance man who hates them. Freeman says something mean to the Emperor and gets executed. Then Financier …

This week on Anime Pulse we got more previews? Yeah, remember when Joseph said last show was the last previews show? He lied. Up first is IRL news with Andrew has regained his audio quality, and Joseph did his first mow of the year. Then in the industry news we have nothing, but community makes up for it with anime original characters. And finally those pesky previews have Joseph attempting to save his lesbian sister from breaking up with her girlfriend by finding a lover himself, and Andrew performs food rakugo to reunite modern day Japan under one banner.

Oh no, you just posted cringe! You are going to lose subscriber! Jokes on you, buddy, we always post cringe. We are creatures of embarrassment, shaped by these experiences as much as our victories. We don’t like it but we do not fight it like some people. We do a manga review show so there’s something of a floor to the expectation we just have to accept. To that end, Tim has Rick and Morty The Manga. What this is, is not an adaptation of various episodes made into a comic by clipping screenshots. Unlike some Original English Language adaptations we could name. It is a variation on the style …

Then in the industry news, we got none, because this time around we got quite a preview line up for ya. Speaking of which, the previews! Joseph returns to Earth after battling space kaiju only to find it frozen, Andrew enters a debt game while refusing to drink the wine, and both try to make it to a giant tower in the desert while being shot at by needles.
