It's been awhile but welcome back! Syd is back with a solo episode and ready to catch up. Life has recently felt like a bad Tyler Perry play but Syd is doing her best to hang in there. Starting off with a bit of venting and accountability, this week's episode is all about distinguishing your intuition from unhealed trauma. Syd had recently come across a TikTok published by Tarot by Bronx, where they described the difference between honoring your intuition while being mindful of past unhealed trauma. Easier said than done considering trauma can coexist with your intuition. Yet, intuition is often more subtle and typically leds you to the route of peace, joy and clarity even in the fact of a difficult decisions.

Hey friends! Looks like the show wasn’t completely abandoned and we have a new guest. This week’s hilarious episode features friend of the show and fellow Virgo, Laila. She and Sydney spend time breaking down what has had them completely fed up over the last few weeks and why 9 a.m. work meetings should be illegal. The ladies also discuss dating shows considering every few months a new one appears on the latest streaming platform. What is it about dating shows that gets people so addicted? Between The Bachelor, Love is Blind, Temptation Island and even Flavor of Love, each show puts an interesting spin on relationships, sex and intimacy. Throughout the conversation the ladies further contemplate if people who participate in the shows are iconic and delusionally optimistic.

New week, new content! Apologies for the two week hiatus but Syd is back in the studio with a new amazing guest this week. She’s joined by Tonja Stidhum, writer, producer and director, who’s credits you might’ve seen in The Root, GQ and Blavity. As a lover of all things pop culture the ladies take a deep dive into the world of all things Beyonce. They can’t help but be fans of her seventh studio album, Renaissance. The album itself is a fusion of dance, pop and R&B and pays homage to Black and queer icons while exploring pleasure, self love, and expression. Throughout the conversation the ladies share more of their experiences as BeyHive members, favorites singles and how Beyonce continues to shape her legacy.
Interested in being entertained by Tonja, tune into her web series, WingChick or visit her website, www.tonjareneestidhum.com. You can also give her a follow at @tonjastidhum

New week, new content! Syd is back in the studio with a new guest this week. She’s happy to be joined by Kierston, creator and owner of Peaxe Pipes. Originating as a creative endeavor, Peaxe Pipes was an opportunity for personal experimentation to upcycle antique glassware. He quickly noticed a need for more pieces like it and how those that smoke know that as casual of an experience it can be, it is also a ritual or ceremony of sorts. Throughout the conversation Syd and Kierston discuss cannabis equity, why special acts call for special tools and making a craft your own.
Interested in owning your own beautiful piece of upcycled antiques for your smoking or aesthetic pleasure, go to peaxepipes.com or @PeaxePipes. Also, give our guest a follow at KierstonClark.

We’re back and better with a guest. Joined by her close friend, Syd is happy to have Christina step in for a conversation on asserting boundaries and the accountability of prioritizing yourself! Again, as 20-somethings it’s a lot we have to learn about straightforwardness. Both ladies agree that boundaries may be a bit looser in early-adulthood but as you grow more into yourself, you realize what you will and will not deal with. This can touch various facets of your life including intimate relationships, friendships, work, family and more.
Feel free to follow my favorite Gemini, Christina on IG at @stinaa___ and her blog @black.berrytea with a website as well!

It's been awhilebut hey friends! Syd is back with a solo situation, ready to catch up. As of lately it seems like the world is on fire but there is hope that brighter days are on the horizon. Syd jumps in her psychology bag and breaks down how excessively thinking distracts many people from living in the present. Often people are either stuck in the past or anxiously awaiting the future. This is due to being able to rewrite either option. The past can be controted to seem better than it actually was while the future contains an enormous amount of possibilities. Yet, there are plenty of concious ways we can root ourselves to be more present in our own lives.

New week, new content! Happy to say there are two guests featured on this week’s episode. Syd is joined by Elgin and Travis of the Call of Duty: Black Dads podcast. Both Elgin and Travis are fathers of two children navigating the world of parenthood as Black men. Throughout the episode they all discuss the best parts of fatherhood, how their own relationships with their fathers influenced them and why it;s okay if your children have to learn the hard way. And while Syd is currently childless she agrees with the guys that respect is a must in any child-parent relationship.

New week, new content! Back with an exciting episode and new guest! Syd is joined by Kennedy Moore, reproductive freedom organizer at Pro-Choice Missouri and activist. A little over two weeks ago in a historic and far-reaching decision The U.S. Supreme Court reversed Roe v Wade, which allowed the constitutional right to abortion. A decision that stood for over five decades, has ultimately vanished. Many are now asking what this means for American women’s right to privacy, access to abortions and other reproductive rights that are in jeopardy. Consider this is an attack on public health, we dive deeper into how everyone can continue fighting for abortion access and steps needed to rebuild.

New week, new content! Sydney steps in this week for a solo interview with the guest. She’s happy to be joined by Morgan, creator of Healthy Hoe merchandise and blogger at The Organic Savage. Back in 2018, Morgan made a lifestyle change and jumped into becoming a vegan. For 3 years she learned a lot about healthy eating habits, cooking and more, yet over a period of time began to have a different mind frame . Both ladies dive into discussing dieting trends and their own relationships with food including their own perspectives about the rise of veganism. Throughout the conversation both ladies agree that they’re more comfortable with a lifestyle that allows flexible and healthy eating and doesn't have to feel restricted. The healthy hoe lifestyle is about doing what’s best for your health based on your own thoughts and desires.

New week, new content! This week’s episode features Kendall and Sydney with a guest (finally!) The duo is happy to be joined by Tatiyahna, an old friend and licensed master social worker studying to be a licensed therapist to chat all about therapy and mental health. The ladies discuss what led Tati becoming a licensed therapist, which started with her own journey to dedicate energy to wellness. We all agree that while the stigma around therapy is lifting there are still a lot of misconceptions and barriers preventing people from seeking the counseling they need. Yet, therapy can help you learn about what you're feeling, why you might be feeling it, and how to cope. Therapy also offers a safe place to talk through life challenges with an unbiased listening ear.
