We have officially arrived in 2022! Syd brings in the year with a solo situation, ready to remind us that while it is a new year, there’s nothing wrong staying completely the same. At the beginning of every single year we see so many posts about fresh starts, shedding dead weight and how we’ll finally mold ourselves into who we want to become. Yet, no one ever includes that it's actually quite challenging to do a complete 180 in our own lives. Rewiring bad habits and behavior is not something that’s done overnight. Even though most people are aware of this we still beat ourselves up. If anything we should challenge ourselves to be okay with trying to make progress and still having lapses here and there. Don’t ever let the journey of self improvement turn into self hatred.

Back and better….or should we say bitter? It’s a solo situation this week with just Syd. But she has enough resentment and bitterness for a studio of 4. However, in all seriousness the conversation for this episode focuses on grudge holding. Why does holding a grudge get such a bad rap? By grudge I mean a persistent feeling of ill will or resentment resulting from a past insult or injury. We’ve always been told holding a grudge is bad for you but I think holding a grudge can present a few benefits. If anything you may learn to stick to your boundaries and take more time to process.

Back at it again! Looks like we’ve kept our promise for this week with another new and exciting guest. Syd is joined by Karin Freeland, speaker, life coach and author of the hilariously relatable novel, “The Ins and Outs of My Vagina: A Penetrating Memoir.” The ladies discuss everything from floundering through puberty, gynecologist appointments,  accepting your body and why your esthetician asking you to get on all fours can be quite awkward. Did you even know that only 20% of women can achieve orgams through penetration? Overall, vaginas are actually amazing organs and if anything they can tell you a lot about how your life is going. Happy to be joined by another Black woman, Amber and Syd discuss the frightening reality of cyberstalking.  More common than we think, 41% of Americans have personally experienced some form of online harassment.  Most times the stalking is carried out by someone the victim knows, usually an ex-spouse, ex-partner or former associate. Considering how much we often share online it’s scary to know there’s the potential for someone to become obsessed with you and tracking your every move.

Back and better after a cute 2-week break! However, we have a great explanation as to why we were missing in action. It just so happened that we were a part of a wedding! Syd is joined by longtime friend and newlywed, Jazzmine aka Mrs. Parrish. We can say that the wedding was pretty much the event of the year and a beautiful occasion. Yet, despite the joy in the air we knew a few annoyances would lurk in the shadows. For this episode we’ll quickly chat about how people go about annoying newlyweds with probing questions. Don't think those annoying questions will stop once you say "I do", there are a whole host of new questions people will annoy you with.
