Obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer and asthma are diseases that affect us all, but have a significantly disproportionate affect on African Americans and other minorities. We know that education, prevention efforts and an end to ethnic and racial disparities can make the difference. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have developed a program called REACH - Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health.
