Antecedors: 6000 Years

40 years have passed since the raiding party burned Brynhass to the ground. The women and children captured by raiders had since assimilated to Kurhass. However, even with the death of the violent chief Ledu, the path of destruction continued after Ledu’s son claimed the title of Chief. Kurhass was now a village that raided their neighbors and killed without mercy. Every time they raided another settlement, they stole their animals and took their children and women. As Kurhass became more violent, no other village would trade with them, forcing Kurhass to become more aggressive. In this story we follow the life of Chess’ youngest, and only surviving son, Flint, who was born in Brynhass but grew up in the violent ways of Kurhass. Even though he was a member of the tribe, he still had memories of growing up in a peaceful village, that no longer existed.

64 years have passed since Tia married the man from Brynhass village and moved away from her family in Kurhass. Life in Brynhass was pleasant, with lots of sheep and horses and cows. Brynhass village was built along a series of small streams, and the rocks in the area were rich with copper. Despite being long time trading partners with the villages around them, Kurhass grew more isolated and eventually trade between the two villages ended completely. While living in Brynhass, Tia had 8 children, all of who survived. In this story we follow the life of her youngest daughter chess, who was all grown up and had ten children of her own.

6 years have passed since Luddy was killed by the bear. Because of his sacrifice the hunters were able to hunt enough meat to get the village through the grain famine. Over the years, Kurhass village diversified its reliance on any one type of food. They increased hunting, and fishing, and even bred more sheep. In this story we follow the life of Luddy’s youngest daughter, Bloom. She was only six years old when her father died, and now she spends all her time in the stables with the sheep.

47 years have passed since Shay said good bye to her daughter. She moved to her husband’s village and never returned. Since that time a series of early spring droughts shattered the ability to harvest enough food for the winter. To prevent a famine, the villagers have concentrated their efforts on fishing and hunting to make up for the poor harvests. 45 years have passed since Bran was swept away in a flash flood. The flooded banks of the Kur River produced the most abundant yields the village had ever experienced. For the first time grain had produced more food for the villagers than hunting. In this story we follow the life of Bran’s second child, Shay; she had many kids of her own, all of which enjoyed the abundance of food provided by the crops. With grain came bread, and not long after came ale. Life for Shay was getting exciting, as her daughter was about to give birth to another child.

44 years have passed since our last episode, and Arth’s family blossomed, after he and his wife had ten sons and daughters. In this episode we follow the story of Bran, his eldest son. Despite loving to ride his horse when he was young, as Bran grew into his Middle Ages, he developed a love for the harvest. Planting crops was new to the village and he saw a great need for spending his time planting and harvesting crops, and teaching this skill to everyone in the village. We start this episode in the early spring, at the beginning of planting season.

45 years have passed since our last episode, and the young girl Anaya has grown up, married a young hunter from the village and had a son, whom she named after her younger brother Arth. Unfortunately for Arth, he was orphaned at a young age; his father was killed on a hunting trip, and his mother, Anaya, died giving birth to her second child. The entire village stepped in, and raised Arth, until he was old enough to take interest in the horses, and then spent his entire life in the stables. He quickly became the best rider in Kurhass, and taught all of the young ones how to interact with, and ride their horses, and how they can build an unconditional bond with their animals.

10 years have passed since our last episode, and Leona has had two healthy daughters, Anaya and Arth. Leona has not had it easy, as five out of seven pregnancies have ended with miscarriages. 35 years have passed since the snow bear attacked the village Kurhass. Brave grew up to be one of the best hunters in the village and led the great hunt for many years. He and his wife had two daughters and were pregnant with a third when complications tragically took her life in the middle of a cold winter.  Brave never took a second wife, and he spent more and more time away from the village, leaving his daughter to be raised by the women and elders of the village. In this story we follow the eldest daughter, Arda, when she goes into labor prematurely without the matron around to deliver the baby.
