Introduced by the great King Donald 1st of America, Jon and Alexander catch up on what they've been up to for the last seven months and rake over the remnants of what might have been a great show in January, predicting 2025 with laser precision, had the boys actually managed to be professional and coordinate their diaries. They also talk about those companies that thrust grubby pamphlets through your door promising top cash for gold and antiques and making out like selling at auction is a really bad thing. Boooo, how dare they?

Back again after another long gap with episode 8 of the Antiques Anonymous podcast. In this episode, Alexander gets a bit serious about stress in the workplace and how important reaching out to a friend can be. We hear why a power cut and a jigsaw puzzle led Alexander to bid live on a coffee table and in their usual 'Did They Get It Wrong' segment, he reveals his dislike of Mickey Mouse (quick and terrible impression alert) and then on to the main topic this time - prints - as suggested by a listener. As they ramble on, Jon comes clean about his art degree and the hosts disagree agreeably in general about various artists including John Piper, L.S.Lowry, Tracy Emin, Albrecht Durer, Kathe Kollwitz, Damien Hurst (ugh) and Banksy. We also get an insight into Alexander's misspent youth 'studying' graffiti art.

In this episode, the intrepid Antiques Geeks Jonny and Alexander talk about DANGER in the world of antiques and art. They explore the murky world of pre-health and safety objet d'art, and how viewing an auction could be hazardous to life and limb. Well, almost. Alexander recalls a nearly nasty case of longcase clock vs wheelchair, Jonny spends some time playing with chemicals and recounting the tail of the poisonous rabbit. He also reveals a somewhat explosive and potentially lethal skip dive, and talking of explosives, Alexander remembers a colleague's anecdote about the contents of an ammunition box found during a probate valuation.
