Hey everyone, welcome to episode 152 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by Jim D’Agostino. Jim is a part of our team of Antler Up and we couldn’t wait to have him on the podcast to chat about his recent success during the last weekend of the PA rifle season. Jim shares his story on the mountain buck and what a team effort the whole weekend trip is! This was Jim’s second trip with our friends from Pertnear Outdoors out of NY for this hunt and Jim wanted this year to be a lot different than last year's trip. He took the last half year to get himself in better shape and he mentions how that helped him when it came to pulling the trigger. We discussed his 2022 season takeaways and how that will lead into this spring/summer preparation already.
With Jim wrapping up the 2022 season with this buck, he plans on getting ready for the indoor season this year. We will be doing a future episode where he finds the benefits of keeping yourself in “archery” shape. In the meantime, if you are looking for a new set of arrows or need some bow work done and live in the eastern part of PA then be sure to check out Jim’s Keystone Precision Archery page! With the season beginning to wrap up in PA and other states, let us know what kind of episodes you are interested in hearing and if you had success this past year hit us up and come on the show to share your story!
Best of luck out there and Antler Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 151 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by Brandon Miller of The Everyday Outdoorsmen. Brandon is a great individual and we love to have him on the podcast. Make sure to check out his previous episodes with us from last year. This episode we dive into late season topics. Start out with catching up on life, then talk about his strategy when it comes to the late season. Brandon will hunt late season here in PA as well as in Maryland. To go along with the tactic side of late season hunting, we discussed a few must-have pieces of gear when heading out during this time as well. We wrap everything up with plans for hunting the last weekend of rifle in PA up in the big woods and keeping that positive mindset to just enjoy being in the outdoors.
Be sure to check Brandon and the crew of The Everyday Outdoorsmen out on YouTube! They put out great videos, really relatable guys and fun to watch do their thing in the woods. For myself I ended up getting sick towards the end of the week and I was able to get out on Saturday and was able to fill a doe tag here in PA! Finally! Hey everyone, welcome to episode 150 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I sat down to talk about what is currently happening and the story behind his 2022 archery buck. First up we discussed my first two uneventful days during the PA gun season and then got into his 2022 buck story. If you go back and listen to episode 147 you will hear the confidence that Dimitri shared going into that weekend with the bow. For the second year in a row now he killed his buck on November 12th. Really cool story that goes along with this buck.
Following up his story we discussed how year two in the saddle has been and what he has found to be his sweet setup, his preferred method of putting on the Tethrd Skeletor sticks, boots and some First Lite gear. All in all just a fun episode to record! Enjoy! With the season beginning to wrap up in PA and other states, let us know what kind of episodes you are interested in hearing and if you had success this past year hit us up and come on the show to share your story!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 149 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode I was joined by my good friend Aaron Hepler. If you have listened to the podcast before then I am sure you have caught a previous episode with Aaron and if not, go back and check them out! Some great stuff! Aaron is from PA and had a killer of a year for 2022. The man just GETS IT DONE! Hit up CO for his first elk hunt this past year and tagged out on day 1! Although PA it took him a few days, he still managed to get it done on a great mountain buck. Aaron does a ton of scouting and running trail cameras, writing content for various hunting outlets, so I wanted to have Aaron on to talk about when the season is all said and done…what is on that to-do list and kind of a now what? We break down things like checking your gear to ensure you are all good or need to replace items, getting trail cam data, boots on the ground and a ton more! Thanks again everyone for the support and tuning in! With archery season beginning to wrap up in PA and other states, let us know what kind of episodes you are interested in hearing and if you had success this past year hit us up and come on the show to share your story!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 148 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by Phil Holcombe of Pennsylvania. Over the years around this time frame Dimitri and I have done an episode or two talking about how our year has gone thus far and how we plan on preparing for rifle season. With this episode Phil shares his insight for how he has hunted the PA rifle season and in all honesty we just talked hunting. From different terrain features, how to avoid or use pressure to your advantage during the gun season here in PA. Phil also recaps a little bit of how his season shaped up and what he did when it came to in season scouting and hunting. Thanks again everyone for the support and tuning in! For this upcoming weekend, I plan on getting back home with my dad for the gun season opening weekend. It has been pretty interesting over the last week or so to see some new bucks come into the picture. We have even gotten some photos of bucks locking up again and hitting scrapes again. As far as my strategy going into this weekend, it will be what it has been from the beginning of this season and that is to enjoy every second out there. Best of luck out there and Antler Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 147 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I finally got a chance to meet up and talk a little bit about how our seasons have gone up to this point. At the time of recording this we both are preparing for our weekend hunts where we are allowed to hunt on Sunday in Pennsylvania. Dimiri shares stories regarding his two PA doe and his buck encounters stories. I share my story from halloween weekend where I had some great encounters and was drawn back on the piebald 8 point buck twice but unable to get a shot off. We discuss how we are enjoying this season and haven’t let the “pressure” of producing get to us and rather really enjoy getting out there and having the opportunity to bowhunt. We finish the podcast by talking about our trailcam data so far. This is by far the best year I have ever had when it comes to getting images of mature bucks and the plans regarding cameras for the future. Thanks again everyone for the support and tuning in! Hey everyone, welcome to episode 146 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by PA native Curt DeLattre. Curt runs Ridge Raised Outdoors where he puts out some really great content. Curt is a die hard whitetail hunter and puts in a ton of time scouting to put himself in the best opportunity to kill a public land buck. Over the years Curt has really enjoyed putting in the time to find and hunt the swamps of north western PA. For this specific episode Curt shares his tactics and strategies to find the rut. He also discusses the importance of historical trailcam data and the role it plays in making a more calculated decision to hunt this time of year. We get into a whole lot of different rut hunting topics and strategies.
Curt also dives into how he hunts funnels, how to handle the lockdown period, concentrating on thick areas and why he believes PA has grown to become a big buck state! Enjoy this fun episode with some great whitetail topics! Best of luck out there and Antler Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 145 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by PA native Ryan Glitsky. Ryan is a true woodsman and a very successful whitetail hunter. Ryan spends a ton of time in the timber and has had a ton of success hunting the rut over the years. It is a perfect time to have Ryan on and talk about some rut topics. These topics include what Ryan contributes to his success during the rut, how his hunting strategy from October with hunting scrapes and security cover switches a little to hunting over terrain features and the importance of doe bedding. Ryan mentions the importance of finding deer concentration and how post season scouting sets you up for success, adapting and not worrying about pressure and a heck of a lot more is packed in this episode to get you ready for a fun and successful rut!
Ryan also dives into what sign is good enough to set up on, when an all day sit needs to pivot, using historical camera data and scouting data will help you during the early part of the rut and what obstacles a hunter should try to avoid! Best of luck out there and Antler Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 144 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by NJ native Greg Litzinger. For those of you that know or have heard Greg on other podcasts know how much time and effort Greg puts into scouting and hunting. Greg has been successful for a very long time and when he speaks on a topic he makes it extremely relatable. This specific episode we dive into topics regarding the pre-rut phase. More specifically what sign he is looking for, his camera strategy and how/what develops a gameplan around what the sign and trail cameras are telling him. The main goal for Greg this year is to get back to his roots to find the freshest of fresh buck sign. If that sign is not there, keep moving forward until he finds what you need.
Greg also dives into saving specific hunting locations for this specific time frame of the year, finding food sources, hunting mornings or evenings, scrape setups, having the killer mentality and how to avoid/overcome obstacles. A TON of great information here and we hope you enjoy this episode and look forward to next week with Ryan Glitsky! Best of luck out there and Antler Up!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 143 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode I was joined by none other than Troy Pottenger. This could be a great week for deer hunting no matter where you are in the country and some more great times in the woods are ahead. Troy explains the importance of a scrape and how hunting scrapes have molded his hunting style to figure out mature whitetail bucks. This episode has a ton of information with specific stories that go along with each strategy that Troy shares. Early on in the podcast Troy talks about a pattern to specific months when it comes to killing whitetails. How he prioritizes hunting community scrapes in October, correlation with cold fronts and bucks hitting scrapes, the importance of terrain features to create a mock scrape on or where to locate these primetime scrapes.
This is a great podcast to get out a pen and paper for and write down what Troy is spitting out. You hear it in his voice just how passionate Troy is about this stuff and I am thankful that he took the time to share all this information with me and the listeners! Hope you enjoy this episode and look forward to next week! Antler Up!
