Dating is often stressful, unrewarding and sometimes pointless. So what can we do…. Enter Mindfulness… The quiet revolution. The organic technology for expanding consciousness and increasing happiness.
As I’m sure you’re aware, mindfulness has caught on in a big way over the past few years… and for good reason. if practiced correctly, mindfulness can help improve health, mood, brain power, sleep habits, dietary habits… and your sex life!!!!
And Mindful Dating will help you to feel more in control, less hopeless, increase enjoyment and reduce anxiety. But what is mindfulness anyway? Mindfulness is all about being in the present moment. By cultivating awareness of what is happening in the here and now you give yourself the chance to fully participate in your life instead of being reactive and going through it on automatic pilot. Mindful Dating is the practice of bringing that awareness to your romantic encounters and using it to remain open to yourself and a potential partner. We bring so many expectations with us on a date: “he should be this”, “he must look a certain way”, “I have to feel that instant connection”. These expectations along with our negative past dating experiences can lead to missing out on a wonderful relationship or falling for one that is not worth your time. Learning to date mindfully allows you to be your true self and make a genuine connection. In other words, the more you learn to be present and in tune with your needs, the less focused you will be on trying to be what “he” wants you to be or what you want him to be.
So bottom line, if you are in your mind, you are not fully present. And if you are not fully present you definitely are not the best representation of yourself!
Practicing mindfulness is an important factor in the overall well-being of your mind, body, and soul. Extend those practices to dating to make the whole process healthier and happier. Here are six do’s and don’ts for mindful dating:
1. Be Present and Observe your feelings in the moment
2. Leave your past in the past
3. Have No Expectations
4. Date With Intention
5. Listen to your inner voice and Communicate without blame
6 Date with Integrity
It's important to take a step back and be sure that you're actually choosing your own dating path, rather than being swept along, and that you keep checking in with yourself to make sure you're enjoying it and getting something from it. It's important to stay mindful.

Why does Society place so much importance on your relationship status… and if you’re not in a relationship, why does the world want to help you find the love of your life. It’s like there’s this sense of failure or that there is something wrong with you if you are single…. Even if that is exactly how you want to live your life… In this video, we will explore this phenomenon and discuss the concept of being happily single… vs settling for less than an amazing relationship.
society would like you to believe that single people are miserable all the time, but that’s simply not true. In fact, research says that those who aren’t in relationships can be just as happy, if not more fulfilled… and they are anything but lonely.
Being in a romantic relationship can certainly provide those needs. That is, Of course, if the relationship is a great one...
But what if it isn’t so great? What if your significant other isn't really a supportive and loving friend... what if they aren't the person you can’t wait to share your day with?
What if the person you’re attached to is also the source of so much of your frustration and anguish.. or the person for whom you’ve decided not to pursue an education or career goal?
Does that mean you're settling? Maybe! But is being in a less than wonderful relationship still better than wonderfully single? And when you settle for a relationship that is less than satisfying… you will make your life more unhappy. In fact.. the wrong relationship will make your life worse. That’s because people who are afraid of being single stay in bad relationships.
And Don’t Settle for less than you deserve. I joke about settling being something the pilgrims did in the 1620's.. but honestly, how do you know if you’re settling? But when you fall in love with someone, accepting their shortcomings doesn’t feel like settling.

Get expert relationship advice on why pulling away sometimes works—and why it eventually backfired for one client.
This video breaks down a common pattern in dating where focusing on yourself can temporarily spark interest, but consistency matters more than games. We examine a case study of a woman who stopped pursuing her partner, saw an immediate shift in his attention, and then watched the connection fade when she became overly cautious. If you are struggling with inconsistent partners, understanding these relationship dynamics is the first step toward building something sustainable rather than just reactive.
As a dating coach, I often see people get stuck in cycles of pursuing and retreating. You will learn why short-term tactics fail to fix relationship problems long-term and what you should focus on instead to create genuine stability. It is not just about making him worry about losing you; it is about creating a dynamic where you both feel secure and valued.
