On today's episode Abby and Margot welcome their next guest, Kaitlin Johnstone. Kaitlin is the owner and founder of Kind Cotton; a clothing company with the mission of redefining kindness while putting books in the hands of kids. To date, Kind Cotton has donated almost 75,000 books to children and educators around the country. Kaitlin shares how her anxiety began long ago, but that she didn't have the language or understanding that she was anxious until adulthood. She reflects on moments from her past that she'd now define as related to anxiety. Such as, a trip to the ER at age 10 with chest pains, perfectionism in college, and more. As a small business owner and social justice activist, Kaitlin advocates for amplifying diverse voices. With action and accountability for herself and those around her, she highlights the ways she practices lifting up humanity with empathy, self compassion and kindness. The Warriors learn about Kaitlin's journey with motherhood during a pandemic, therapy, and how to find hope in exploring and de stigmatizing mental health challenges in her family. She shares so many valuable tips/coping strategies and empowering anecdotes that will inspire again and again.
