Apex Adjacent

It's a bit of a brief episode this week, so to make up for it we focus on the absolute joy that brown, manual, diesel station wagons bring to this world. Speaking of joy, we also discuss approaching fellow car enthusiasts about their cars, and why you should tell people that you like their cars. We love you!

You read that title right folks, one of us got angrily stared at by a test driver as we obtained Jaguar F-Pace spy shots. Yeah, it's one of those broken clock is right twice a day kinda things, but whatever! Not only did we catch a proto Jag, the absence of one key elements brought up some interesting questions.

In this episode Ian and Dave talk about their time in Winter Park at the 2020 Colorado Winter Driving Encounter. We discuss the 2020 Nissan Altima (now with AWD!), the Nissan Rogue Sport (stay with us), the refreshed Acura RDX A-Spec, the Honda CR V, the Dodge Charger GT AWD, and Dave's Large Son, the Fiat 500X. We had an amazing time and we're really excited to tell you all about it!

In this week's episode we discuss Ian's headlight, erm...repair(?), talk about some My Eyes, Dave's mind's eye, and get prepped for the 2020 Colorado Winter Driving Encounter with Rocky Mountain Redline!

Life is interesting. Sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down. Sometimes you're just driving along and some idiot in a Tahoe cuts across two lanes of traffic to make a left turn with no regard for anyone besides themselves and the safety of those individuals, let alone their own. Sometimes a ginger gets all that on their newly purchased dashcam. This episode is true to form, we're a bit up, a bit down, and a bit all around. Take care of yourselves everyone, we love you.

It looks like Ian is not the only one that stands in the shower, silently thinking thoughts, it turns out our token Ginger does as well. In this week's episode we get Damp with Dave as he reflects on the internet's reaction to someone else's experience with his favorite musician of all time. Come get damp with us, but not like in a weird way. We love you.

Well, it looks like the Wall Street Journal beat us to the "Ghosn, baby Ghosn" joke. Go figure that their writers, far more talented than us, landed on a homophone-based headline WAY before we did. Since the WSJ stole our joke thunder, we'll just leave it at that. We start this episode with one of our favorite segments, "Getting Wet with Ian", centered around the myth of the Great Man and Ghosn getting gone from Japan in oddly covert fashion. It's not all shower-based seriousness, we hit familiar B-roads of carstanza'ed cars, vanity plates, and Dave's taffy opinions. We love you.

Your two car-loving podcast hosts are a bit ragged this week, world-weary from their respective travels and longing for a bit of peace in the blanket fort to restore their constitution. Thankfully they didn't have to do much to prepare for the show, as all of you goofball listeners kept a steady stream of content pouring in over the holidays. In this episode we'll clean out the mailbag and comment on what you sent. We love you!

Apologies for the brief episode this week, some sudden travel needs came up and we weren't able to get you that hot hashtag blanketfort content like we usually do. What we do have is an announcement! We're announcing our new video series, SUPER HAPPY FRIENDSHIP CAR REVIEW! We'll get that video out to you so, so in the meantime enjoy our Skype antics as well tell you what went into the making and motivation of SHFCR. We love you.

Ah the holidays. What better way to pass the time with your family than by ignoring them and playing some video games? Or at least watching us play some video games. In this episode we play and talk about some of our favorite car or car-ish games. You're going to see Trackmania Turbo, Thumper, Rocket League, and American Truck Simulator. Happy holidays everyone! We love you.
