In this second part of this series on committing to God, Dr. Thomas continues in giving you the basic of establishing and maintaining a deep and transformational relationship with God.
What does it take for people to have a life-changing relationship with God? How do I know God’s voice? In this first segment of this two-part teaching, Dr. Thomas unpacks the answers to these soul searching questions by taking you through God’s Word and showing you that anyone, no matter your status, your race, or your past indiscretions, has direct access to an all-powerful, all-knowing God. By applying the blueprint that is being shared, straight from the Word of God, you will shift from having a form of godliness, to actually becoming a stronger, more faithful, more committed follower of Christ.
In today’s teaching, be prepared to work. Dr. Thomas is empowering us to start the new year strong, by finishing the year strong. Be sure to get your journal and start writing because there are a lot of practical applications that you don’t want to miss! The reality is, each of us are where we are in life, mostly due to our decisions or indecisions, our actions or inactions. Utilizing the Word of God, and your commitment to making changes in your life, your prayers can be answered starting today!
The feeling of anxiety is neither good nor bad. As humans, it is many times a natural response to the circumstances that we find ourselves in. Simply put, anxiety, in and of itself, is not the problem. The problem is what we do with that anxiety. The problem is who or what we run to when dealing with negative emotions and feelings. As Christians, the Bible provides best practices related to how we should deal with and handle anxiety in our lives. However, because of emotional and spiritual immaturity, we find ourselves losing control of our thoughts and actions. Grab your Bible, some paper, and a writing utensil, because this teaching will change your life.
There are a lot of situations happening right now that lead us to experience extremely high levels of anxiety. In the second part of Dr. Thomas' message on the cure for anxiety, he lets us in on a secret. “The anxiety that you are feeling is not because of the situation that you are in. It’s because of how you are reacting to the situation.” As Christians, God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has promised us power, love, and a sound mind. However, instead of allowing the truth of God’s Word to permeate our thinking, we too often choose the lies of the enemy. In this message you will learn practical tips on how to overcome anxiety with God’s help. Listen to this message with an open heart and prayerful spirit. With God’s help, we will overcome.
The enemy has put out a spirit of anxiety and fear throughout the world in an overwhelming capacity, but in the name of Jesus, we have the power to come up against it! In the first part of this timely message, Dr. Thomas reminds us of Philippians 4:6,7 where we are promised that by utilizing the counter attacks of prayer and thanksgiving, we have access to the peace that passes all understanding. We already have the victory. God has given us the power to overcome every attack of the enemy, so let us take heart and walk in God’s peace.
This Holiday Season there is so much to give thanks for. 2020 has been like no other and in this podcast we are learning how to embrace the power, love, and sound mind that we find in Christ rather than living in a spirit of fear.
