This week's episode is on John Carpenter's 1988 movie, They Live, and features comedian Nick Thomas as our guest. This is one of Tom's favorite movies, so he was excited to share it with me, since I (Michelle) haven't watched it before. We had so much fun going through the trivia for this movie, and Tom made up a game called "Obey, Consume, WTF" which was really fun. We finished off with our rating and reviews.

Hey friends! We had to take a week-long break because of life. We're so happy to be back and pray to the Nordic gods that we can continue our weekly uploads. This week, Tom picked out Peninsula, which is a tie-in to Train to Busan. It's not a direct sequel, since it covers different characters and goes four years into the zombie apocalypse.
This week, we changed up our routine a tad bit and instead of games, I (Michelle) shared some deep-dive info on Korean culture. Cuz, you know, everyone seems to believe Korea is just bbq and Kpop.

Hey all! We hope you enjoyed Halloween! It's been really hectic over here with Tom going back to work full time and Michelle working and homeschooling. We didn't have time to watch a movie for this week, but we still wanted to create a fun episode for y'all to listen to, so here's a special edition for you!
We start off with our "Apocalypse News in Review" or "Apocalypse News this Week" or... Michelle still can't figure out what it's called. We then answered listener's questions from Twitter which was super fun. (Tom will be tweeting a reminder so make sure you ask questions. We want to make it a regular thing!) We finished off with a game about cultural folklore. We didn't really name it but we've decided that we will now call it "Sh*t to Scare Kids". I'm sorry we were so tired this week but we're hoping we can get back to our regular shenanigans once we get back into the rhythm of things.

As we are gearing into Halloween week, we knew we had to do something special. Alas, we decided to watch and review both the 1976 and 2006 versions of The Omen. Yup, we watched two movies back to back, then did our episode on it. It was such a long and exhausting week that we could barely keep our bodies up, hence the name "Special Sleepy Halloween Episode" was born. We did a basic synopsis along with comparing the two movies, a lot of fun trivia, a Halloween History game, and a rating and reviewing of the movies.

We had Saidee and Matt from the So Horrified podcast join us this week for our bad movie subgenre and they picked Impact Event. They are pros at bad movies and they didn't disappoint with this one. On this week's show, we covered the synopsis, then did one of our favorites, "But Why". We also played Tom's new games "Last Day on Earth" and "Price is Right for Shelter Tonight". We finished with a rating and reviewing of the movie as usual. We had such a fun time having Saidee and Matt on our show, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it!

Did any of you know that this movie was a thing? I guess it came out in 2016 but I think I blocked out any marketing I saw during that time. (This is Michelle, btw) If you didn't watch this movie yet, head on over to your favorite movie streaming platform and watch it before you listen to this episode. You'll thank me later.
We were so excited to have Rivers Langley (The Goods From The Woods podcast) join us for this week's episode! He's been waiting to come back on as soon as we started our bad movie subgenre and we had A LOT of fun. We decided to do a super short synopsis this time, followed by a ton of trivia, the games "Eulogies" and "But Why?", and our rating/reviewing of the movie. We also fell into several side tangents on conspiracies, which is pretty norm for us. We guested on his show last week, so if you haven't heard it, head on over to The Goods From The Woods podcast and have a listen.

We are officially starting our "Bad Apocalypse Movie" sub-genre! Tom has been very excited to get to this moment. We're starting it off with the 2014 movie Pompeii and we invited Lindsay from the Ye Olde Crime podcast. There was a lot of laughter as we went through a bit of Pompeii (the real one) trivia, a continuous conversation about Kit Harrington's abs, "But Why?", Tom's new game "Caesar, I Hardly Know Her", and our rating and reviewing of the movie. You can check out Lindsay and her sister Madison by going to https://www.yeoldecrimepodcast.com

We are now coming to an end to our Post-Apocalyptic/Dystopian sub-genre! To celebrate, we had comedian Peter Davenport of @casualthursday and @goulashcomedy on our show.
Since we let our guests pick the movie, Peter picked "Book of Eli". Michelle got tipsy with her synopsis, a wee bit of trivia, some Strategery, a game with no name, and the rating and reviewing of the movie. It was a blast having Peter on and we're hoping he'll come back to do another episode soon.

Now that we're well into our Post-Apocalypse/Dystopian sub-genre, we figured this would be a good time to watch Snowpiercer. Boy, was it a doozy. For those of you who have been living under a rock, Snowpiercer is a 2013 science fiction action film based on a French graphic novel. It was a huge deal in South Korea, since it was directed by a super famous Korean director named Bong Joon-Ho. If you haven't watched this movie, WATCH IT before you listen to our podcast.
We brought back some old goodies for this episode. After our synopsis, we dive into "Eulogies", then we did our "But WHY?" segment, then we did a very brief "Silver Lining". As always, we ended with our rating and reviewing of the movie.

While all of the movies we've featured on our podcast have fetching titles in regards to the dumpster fire that is 2020, this one seems especially fitting. Doomsday (2008) is an action-packed hodgepodge of everything you'd want in an action movie: beautiful ass-kicking woman protagonist, great action sequences, gruesome deaths, and crazy cannibals.
Blake Griffin of UNEX Photography joins us as our guest this week. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he specializes in portrait photography. His photos are a thing of beauty, and you can check his out his work by going to unexphotography.com
For this week's episode, we go through our synopsis, introduce Blake, discussed trivia, and Tom made up a game called "Did They Cannibal?!", which turned into a whole convo about Spam. We ended the episode with our Apocalypse in Review rating and reviewing. We had so much fun with Blake and we hope you enjoy it as must as we did!
