Apologia Church

We are in a series now on Philippians. We are studying chapter 3, a famous section of Scripture, wherein the Apostle Paul talks about receiving a righteousness that is not his own, but, one that comes from God on the basis of faith. He even uses some strong words to show his detestation of those who would muddy the message of Life and he uses a very strong word to describe his own attempts at righteousness.

Since we have Christ’s example; because He became a man with humble obedience dying upon the cross for us we are called to obey God, to work out this salvation that Christ has secured with fear and trembling. And simultaneously as we work this salvation out with active participation we are to understand the source and strength of this working out, that God is the one who wills and works in us for His good pleasure.
