    Send us Fan Mail

Want to know what it's like to live and work in Alaska? This week the boys head up to the Last Frontier to talk with Everett Knudsen (@907plumber on IG), owner of 907 Heating & Plumbing. Everett talks about living and working in extreme conditions, as he navigates the Alaskan climate, funky daylight changes, and some encounters with the free-roaming wildlife. He also tells a story about a life-and-death encounter crossing the Valdez Harbor in extreme cold and snowy conditions while working on the GPS systems for oil tankers entering the harbor. Everett also drops some exclusive scoops as it pertains to his new adventures ahead. John has always romanticized about Alaska, and it's still on his bucket list of places to visit. This will have to be the next best thing. Sit back and enjoy this convo from the 907 Plumber.

  • Not Dead Yet Ep. 10: Steve Murray, CPI Plumbing & Heating & Bill Gray, Uponor

    Send us Fan Mail

The boys head to the Great Northwest to talk with Steve Murray, a 35-year industry veteran, who discusses why his employer, CPI Plumbing & Heating, has chosen to invest heavily in developing the tech skills of local high school grads, working with various vendors and suppliers to create a 2,500-sq.-ft. learning facility from scratch. Part of the success of the Training Lab came in the form of a sizable donation of hydronic equipment from Uponor.  Bill Gray, president of Uponor North America, talks about the investment made in the skilled tradesman, and both talk about the importance of industry training. Steve and Bill talk about the industry, their intros into it, COVID-19 and the short-term economic "forecrap," uh, a new term inadvertently coined during the conversation. More info on the training lab can be found on www.mechanical-hub.com.
