This week, the Technical Director of IFFO The Marine Ingredients Organization, Neil Auchterlonie, sat down with the Aquademia team to talk about all things fish feed. Neil discusses different types of fish feed for aquaculture – fish meal, fish oil, and alternative ingredients – and the importance of the fish feed industry coming together.

"It's about 'as well as', not 'instead of'...In order to satisfy the growing demand for aquaculture, we need more feed, and we need more feed ingredients."

Logan has been intruiged by cooking since he was just two years old. His love of recipe creation and competitive spirit has carried him through cooking at the White House, winning MasterChef Junior, and writing his first cookbook...all while in school, and before the age of 17.

The Aquademia team was lucky to get the Founder and CEO of OneForNeptune, Nick Mendoza, for an interview on the podcast this week. OneForNeptune is an up-and-coming food jerky company that recently was named the number one food product on Kickstarter.

Nick has had a love of the ocean his whole life. While he found himself working on his family's cattle ranch, he came up with the idea of creating fish jerky – a product that combines many of his interests in life.
