With the recent release of the class of 2022 matric results, many matriculants who have achieved their desired results will be looking to enter the higher education stage of their academic careers by registering at various universities and colleges. While those who feel they did not perform to their expectations will be looking at many other options that offer them a successful second chance. However it is widely known that the matric year is very stressful for many learners. While some learners feel that they are ready to tackle higher education immediately after matric, there are students who may need a break from the anxiety of studying through what is known as a gap year. A year that is used for introspection, recuperating and planning ahead in order to make informed decisions about life which are rushed.
