Episode 9 of Season 2 features our Botanical Brotha, Gerard Volel aka Brooklyn Plant Dad. Gerard is a horticulturist and landscaper and MORE who WILL travel for plants! Born to parents of Haitian and Jamaican descent, he grew up reading his dad's gardening books in their New Jersey basement.  Gerard  got grown and decided to re-locate to Brooklyn as well as spend time in Maui to live his best plant life via community gardening, planty workshops and landscaping.  Colah B Tawkin originally spoke with him earlier in 2020 (before the world imploded) as he was preparing for a trip to Japan. Fortunately, we were able to get an update on the trip in the same episode!
